I love Thanksgiving, and I love Christmas – but “back to school” might just be my third favorite season. I have so many happy memories wrapped up in school supplies. Running through the aisles of K-mart. Hunting for the exact right Trapper Keeper. Filling it with loose-leaf paper and the coolest pen pouch. Rulers, protractors, note pads – what fun!
It’s no surprise, then, that Stampin’ Up!’s Just a Note Bundle was an easy collection to toss into my online shopping cart. Back-to-school almost slipped past me this year – I’ve listened to the commercials, assuming they were way too early (like Christmas decorations in October) – but I was able to celebrate my third-favorite season with this fun bundle:
The Just a Note Bundle was quietly introduced in July’s Online Exclusives offering. Despite it taking me this long to play, it was on my very first order after it was available. Here’s a look at the Just a Note Bundle:
The stamp set is cute, but the coordinating dies take this bundle over the top. I don’t want you to miss them, so here’s a closer look at the Just a Note Dies:
With all that in mind, let’s get back to my card…
I stamped the notebook paper lines with Balmy Blue ink on Thick Basic White and then cropped the image with the torn paper die. Love it! I added a Smoky Slate paper clip – I cropped pink, yellow, and green paper clips, too, but decided to showcase the standard, large clip. I stamped the sentiment with Versamark and heat embossed it with Wow! White Embossing Powder. I couldn’t have been happier to run my finger over the Sweetest Star Punch when seeking a punch that would work with the sentiment. Boom! Here’s a closer look:
I cut small stars with the Just a Note Dies – Strawberry Slush, Lemon Lime Twist, Daffodil Delight, and Peach Pie – to create a burst of excitement around the back-to-school happiness. I added a trio of Basic Black Neutral Matte Dots to tie back to the other black elements in the card.
The black star and black layers on the card can’t dampen the bright and sweet accents. If you love the mix of Daffodil Delight, Lemon Lime Twist, Peach Pie, Strawberry Slush and Balmy Blue as much as I do, I hope you’ll save this for future reference:
Here’s to celebrating school supplies – Stampin’ Up! style! Even if you aren’t sending someone back to school, the nostalgic supplies are a must-have for any craft room.

Adorable card and perfect for teachers, too!! Nostalgia reigns supreme for me, too, on this “holiday” ( I only recently stopped looking for a cute new pencil pouch)
You have stopped looking for cute pencil pouches?! Where is your sense of adventure, Cindie? 🙂 Thanks so much?
I’d never have thought of using my Sweetest Star Punch for this…they were meant to be together though!!
