Thankful for You

The card I’m sharing with you today has been running around in my brain for some time. It combines a wonderful Online Exclusives stamp set with elements from two incredible bundles in Stampin’ Up!’s Holiday Mini Catalog. Here’s my Autumnal thank you card:

A Lovely Sentiment

A couple of weeks ago, I featured a beautiful card that Melody Hyde sent to me after our visit to Salt Lake City (you can see that card here). Melody’s card showcased the elegant “Thankful” from the Lovely Florals stamp set—and I couldn’t wait to use that same sentiment on one of my own projects. Here’s a look at the Lovely Florals stamp set:

Lovely Florals, Stampin' Up!, 166797I knew I could easily build on the “Thankful” sentiment. After a quick run-through of my stamp sets, I found just what I wanted! I added a little “FOR YOU” from the Beautiful Butterflies stamp set, a longtime favorite in our collection.

Additional Design Elements

The stamped sentiment sits on a frame I cropped with the smallest die in the Branching Out Dies. I also used that same set to crop two pine branches—one in Mossy Meadow and another in Gold Foil—for a touch of texture and shine. Here’s a look at this must-have bundle:

I inked up the acorn with Crumb Cake ink and colored the cap with an Early Espresso Stampin’ Write Marker before stamping it onto Basic White cardstock and cropping it with the coordinating die. Here’s a closer look:

That’s not all! I used the large oak leaf from the Gathering Moments Dies to “over-stamp” the background on a 3-1/4″ x 4″ panel of Basic White cardstock. As I continued stamping in Old Olive ink, the leaves got darker and created a subtle, natural-looking frame around my focal point. Here’s a look at the Gathering Moments Bundle:

I framed my focal panel with a Crumb Cake pattern from the Woven Textures Designer Series Paper. These papers were introduced this past Spring, but their warm colors and cozy textures are perfect for this time of year. Here’s a look at the colors and patterns in the Woven Textures Designer Series Paper:

Conclusion

This card beautifully captures the warmth of Autumn—earthy tones, natural textures, and a heartfelt message of gratitude. I love how the combination of old favorites and new seasonal elements came together to create something classic and full of charm.
