My Las Vegas Vacation Following Leadership

Yesterday I shared a lot of pictures from my time at Stampin’ Up!’s Leadership event in Las Vegas (if you missed those experiences, you can see them here). When I decided to break up my photos into two days, I didn’t realize the second half of my photos were just vacation. 🙂 Still, I’m happy to share some fun photos with you today. Most are just of Jeremiah and me eating in different places – but Emma makes an appearance at the end. I’ll make something to share with you tomorrow. ♥

When Jeremiah and I visited Las Vegas in 2008, we stayed at the Bellagio Hotel, which was lovely. This time, we wanted to experience the traditional Las Vegas style, so we checked in at The Flamingo Hotel after leaving the Red Rock Casinos where Leadership was held. The Flamingo was both gaudy and gorgeous – we loved it!

Dinner at a French restaurant in Las VegasWe walked to Milk Bar, a famous New York City dessert shop for the most incredible cookies and ice cream.

Dessert at Milk Bar in NYCWe were stuffed, so we needed to walk off all that food. We stopped by the canals at The Venetian during our walks.

Jeremiah is no fan of heights, so I had to move swiftly to get us on the High Roller observation ferris wheel that overlooks the Las Vegas landscape. The pods were large enough for a crowd, but we had one to ourselves. What an incredible experience!

Franco is a magician who won a year of America’s Got Talent. It was easy to see why he won. Every part of his act was MIND-BLOWING – just incredible. I snatched this photo from Emma (Jeremiah and I were much further back in the theater).

Before the show, Jeremiah and I visited the poppies at The Venetian.

inside The SphereIt truly felt like we were in the middle of every scene in the movie. The seats jiggled, the wind blew leaves all over the theater during the movie’s cyclone. I am so glad we experienced this – it was worth every penny.

Friday night was our last night in Las Vegas. For the big night, Emma met us for dinner at America’s Diner, Denny’s. I’m always up for a good breakfast!

dinner at America's diner with EmmaI was so excited to see that we’d be in Las Vegas during Kelly Clarkson’s Studio Sessions residency at Caesar’s Palace. As a huge fan of Kelly’s, I immediately snatched up tickets for Jeremiah, Emma and me to attend her concert. I’ve been looking forward to this for months!

Kelly Clarkson concertI didn’t know it at the time, but we had box seats to the concert. What fun!

  1. What a great trip, Brian. So happy for you.
    Have a blessed day.

  2. Adore seeing J and you having such a terrific time!

  3. Ooh, Brian, you’ve made me want to go to Las Vegas if only to see the Wizard of Oz. The special effects sound amazing – especially the leaves during the tornado scene. This was my daughter’s favourite film when growing up so I’d love to take her. Thank you for sharing.

    • I couldn’t have imagined going to Vegas JUST for the show, but it was worth it. We met several people who flew in for the show. It’s playing through next year, so maybe you can get there with your daughter? ♥

  4. Wow what a great several days of events and food to end your Vegas trip! Thanks for sharing your photos.

  5. How fun! I love this for you!

  6. You guys crammed as much fun into your time as you possibly could. It was great sweet Emma could join you. Thanks for sharing these wonderful photos with us. Enjoy your day!

  7. Wow! That was quite the vacation! I stayed at the Flamingo and it was so cool. I loved it.

  8. Sounds like an amazing time in every aspect. (Jeremiah, I’ll sit out that ferris wheel with you, eeeekkk). Thanks for all these pics, what great relaxation and memories!

  9. I very much enjoyed your description of your vacation. I had the same experience at the beginning of October. We stayed at the Flamingo, ate breakfast in Paris, toured the canals, took lots of pictures at the Wizard of Oz photo spot, and went to the Sphere to experience the movie. I loved the immersive part, but was very disappointed in how they butchered the movie itself. One of the best parts of our vacation was watching the outside of the Sphere. The window of our room had a great view of it. My favorite clip was the stained glass desert scene.

    • It sounds like you wrote the script for our experience, Susan! We walked the same path! 🙂 I think we were so immersed in the experience at The Wizard of Oz that we didn’t really pay attention to the changes in the movie. Watching the outside of the sphere was a fun pastime for us, too! 🙂

  10. I want to se the wizard of oz at the sphere.
Glad to hear it was worth every penny!

    • Melly – it was incredible! I’m happy to see it is still playing all next year. If you make it that way, please put it on your itinerary. It wasn’t on ours, and I’m happy it was added. ♥

  11. Thank YOU for sharing! It looks like a good time was had by all!!!

  12. Such a fun time!! I’m so excited about the Wizard of Oz at the Sphere. My favorite movie since I was a kid…a very long time ago. 😉 I wish I could get there to see it. Vegas is a favorite place to visit because there’s so much to see and it changes all the time. I’m so glad you and Jeremiah got to experience this. Thanks for sharing.
