Welcome to my Week in Review! Each Sunday, I like to share a quick recap for those who don’t follow along every day—and a little extra behind-the-scenes for those who do. You don’t want to miss these extras! ♥
I’ve been really busy this week, so I don’t have a lot of fun stories to share. Mom returned home last weekend, and I’ve put up our Christmas decorations, finished our Christmas shopping and mailed out Christmas cards. Yesterday I packed up catalogs that will go out to customers tomorrow. I’m also preparing covers and labels for my Designer Series Paper Swatch Books. If you haven’t already signed up for my product shares, you have time – but there’s also no time like right now. Click on the photo below to sign up:
I want to share one of my all-time favorite possessions that was unpacked this week. Thirty plus years ago, Mom painted this ceramic Nativity for me. I love the style (it’s modern and also classic) and all of the colors. It always makes me happy to display this each year:
I love everything about this Nativity – except for the fact that I’ve positioned the camel behind the shepherd when we all know the Wise Men came with the camel. I’ll reposition these figurines right away!
While these pieces are made from ceramic clay and fired in Mom’s kiln, the design gives them the look of wood. I want to share a closer look at Mom’s detailed painting of these figures:
I’m so happy to have these out and look forward to placing the camel on the correct side of the Nativity scene. Enough about me. Let’s get back to the week in review.
Here’s a look at the projects I shared with you this week (don’t miss the bonus add-ins!) …
Monday
On Monday I shared DAY TWO of the cards from my Holiday One-for-One Card Swap. The post was a delightful parade of 10 cards – and I loved them all. While most of these cards were red-and-green, I want to share a little more about the project that Pam Morris (my Stampin’ Up! upline) shared. Here’s her card:
The photo above doesn’t adequately capture the beautiful shine of this card. Here’s a closer look at the texture of the sentiment and the detail of the snowflake on her card:

Tuesday
On Tuesday I shared two fun fold projects from the Holiday One-for-One Card Swap. Kevin and Melly shared GORGEOUS cards for the swap. While the cards were very different from each other (Kevin designed her card with blues and whites and a “Peace on Earth” sentiment, while Melly showcased gorgeous, rich flowers), they featured the same card fold.
Here’s a look at Kevin’s card and Melly’s card:
In the post, I show you how they open up and a link to Susan Campfield’s video tutorial. Such fun!

Wednesday
On Wednesday I took a quick break from the One-for-One Card Swaps to launch my product shares from the upcoming 2026 Spring Mini Catalog.
There’s really no better way to enjoy a selection of all of the consumables in the catalog. I hope you’ll take a look! If you’d like to learn more and sign up, CLICK HERE.
Thursday
On Tuesday night, I hosted my monthly InKing Royalty Team Call. I designed and completed a project during that call and shared it with you Thursday. Here’s the project:
This card showcases some incredible, new products from the 2026 Spring Mini Catalog (couldn’t be more excited about this Valentine’s Day suite!) – and there’s a fun opening to this card. If you missed it, you’ll want to check it out!

Friday
By Friday, we were back to the Holiday One-for-One Card Swaps. Yay! The post features five fun folds (with two pictures of each to show you how they open up).
The batch of cards are mostly GORGEOUS Christmas cards. Jaynie sent a New Year’s card that really stood out from the rest- it was the only pink card in the collection of cards. Here’s a look:

Saturday
It’s always fun to share the projects from these swaps. There’s such lovely talent in this group! Yesterday I shared 11 more cards from the Holiday One-for-One Card Swap.
I’m over-the-top-in-love with the card designed by Vicki Heinecke. Here’s a look at the card I shared with you yesterday:
If you were wondering how she created that GORGEOUS backdrop from the flowers and sentiment, I’m happy to give you a closer look at the vellum panel that’s embossed with the Peaceful Greenery Embossing Folder:

Looking Ahead
I’ve got some fun projects to share with you this coming week, including more projects from the One-for-One Card Swap and some sneak peek projects. Someone is having a birthday this week, too, so you can expect some birthday shenanigans.
I hope you’ll come back every day this coming week! 🙂
Thanks for stopping by today!

Hi Brian
Another great week in review!
Your mom’s details on your Nativity set is fantastic as are the colors of the 3 Kings!
The parade of cards are wonderful with all the artistic touches! Great job by all, including your sneak peek card Brian!
Thanks so much, Dawn! I was so busy showing the details that I breezed right past the gorgeous, rich colors Mom chose. Great point! So many great swaps in the collection – it’s been a great week. ♥
What a special keepsake! Miss Mary has a number of talents and we can add her ceramics skill to the list! And thanks for clearing up my vellum question on Vicki’s card, I was wondering if that was what it was or not!
Mom lived ceramics for many years – she definitely has a gift and is so precise with the painting. Vicki’s card is a beauty, don’t you think? I LOVE vellum, so it was immediately special to me.
I LOVE that Nativity set. Mom did a fabulous job.
Didn’t she?! Thanks, Dianne!
Now we know where all your talent comes from Brian! Quiet Miss Mary
Is a true artisan! Thanks for sharing your beautiful treasure! Enjoy seeing all the lovely cards in the swap.
She is truly talented – and that’s where any talent I have came from. Thanks so much, Barbara! ♥
I love Mary’s beautiful Nativity set. She is definitely a woman of many talents. Thanks for sharing this with us, Brian. Another week of beautiful cards. Enjoy your day, my friend.
Thanks so much, Hilda! I will always cherish this set – I picked it out, and she painted it just for me. It’s been a fun week, hasn’t it?
Beautiful nativity! I’ve been working this week on a nativity display for our church this week…inviting the community to view this evening…we have over 180 nativities on display….this includes a live shadow nativity presented by the youth in our church. We are so excited to celebrate this wonderful season.
How wonderful, Marjorie! We were always active in our church’s Nativity, too. Since I was one of three King boys, we were mostly relegated to the wise men. 🙂
Wow! Such a beautiful Nativity! Mom’s detail is amazing. A treasure for you forever. Merry Christmas!
Thanks so much, Bobbi! ♥ They are all gorgeous, aren’t they!?
Such beautiful detail painted by your mom on the Nativity scene. I love her choice of colors and the subtle details that must have been difficult to paint. This is a treasure that will bring fond memories for years to come.
I couldn’t agree with you more, Penny! Thank you so much! ♥
Your Mom’s artistry on the Nativity is beautiful. I’ve gone back several times throughout the day, and I think my favorite part is the expressions she captured on each face. I also like the textures and colors. ❤️
