Brian’s Week in Review: February 22, 2026

Brian's Week in ReviewWelcome to my Week in Review!

Every Sunday, I love taking a few minutes to look back at the projects, moments and little highlights from the week – perfect for those who don’t follow along every day and a fun behind-the-scenes peek for those who do. And yes… there are always a few extras tucked in here just for you. ♥

Social Butterfly

This homebody got out of the house a lot this past week. Here are some pictures from three of my outings:

Art Time with Ivy

Jeremiah and I hung out at his sister’s house last Sunday. We played games and had dinner, but my favorite part of the visit was when Ivy asked if she could draw me. Risky, I know, but here were are:

art time with IvyI love to support creativity and the joy of art, but should I be upset with Ivy? Do I look like this?!

Cheesecake with Former Coworkers

During the week, I ventured out of the house again for lunch with three of my former coworkers at the Cheesecake Factory. Chelsea, Allison and Kim all worked on my team at Cox. I love and miss them all! Chelsea’s young daughter also joined us – she’s not yet a part of the workforce.

Last night, Jeremiah and I traveled into town to enjoy an evening show with Leslie Jones, formerly of Saturday Night Live, many popular movies and The Daily Show. We had a grand time, laughed a lot and loved the entertainment.

Here is a quick shot of Jeremiah and me (and Leslie in the background) before the show:

Back to My Week in Review

And that’s a little peek at what’s been happening around here. Now let’s take a look back at the projects I shared with you this week…

Monday

I kicked off the past week with four incredible cards from the card swap I recently hosted with my InKing Royalty team. From brand-new stampers to seasoned creators, the inspiration that came through my mailbox was simply amazing.

I walk you through all four of the projects and tell you the things I love the most and a recap of the primary products the stampers used on their cards.

After my post arrived in my mailbox on Monday, I had to go back to Marilyn’s swap card to check out the optical illusion she created with the band across the card – or the lack of the band. Such fun!

Tuesday

On Tuesday, I shared a bold, card with oversized alphabet letters I decorated with the cutest little bugs – and reminded everyone to get their wish lists ready for those three happy days of savings. Here’s the card I shared:

Cute as a Bug Designer Series Paper, Banner Alphabet Dies, Stampin' Up!, Brian KingWeek-in-Review Bonus: I first introduced you to the Cute as a Bug Suite Collection in December when I shared a sneak peek at the collection with this card:

Sweet Bugs Bundle, Stampin' Up!, Brian King, cute birthday cardThe ants on my card are stamped with the Sweet Bugs stamp set, colored with Stampin’ Blends and cropped with the Sweet Bugs Dies. At the same time I was making this card, I cropped the trio of ants from the Cute as a Bug Designer Series Paper with the dies – here’s a look:

Wednesday

On Wednesday, I shared one of my favorite types of posts – a little inspiration mixed with a little strategy. With FREE SHIPPING running for three days, I walked you through my top high-dollar picks, two suite collections I absolutely love and some smart ways to stack rewards while saving. Promotions like this are the perfect excuse to finally grab those tools and suites that have been lingering on your wish list – and I hope you took full advantage.

The Party Dies Bundle is one of the products I shared in my suggestions for getting the most out of your free shipping order. Here’s a look:

Party Dies Bundle, Stampin' Up! 165265I also shared several projects I’ve made with this bundle. It’s always a good time to order this bundle – now, maybe?

Free Shipping might be over now, but if you’re still building your next order, perhaps Wednesday’s post might offer some inspiration – those projects might spark just the idea you need.

Thursday

I have loved highlighting the beautiful variety in the swap cards from my teams’ InKing Royalty Card Swap – brand-new stampers alongside seasoned designers, each bringing their own style and personality to the table.

Thursday’s post includes four more cards, along with my thoughts and a list of primary products showcased in each.

Friday

Friday wrapped up the final day of FREE SHIPPING with three fabulous fancy fold swap cards from my InKing Royalty team.

Jackie wowed us with a gorgeous z-fold, Lani shared a beautifully colored easel card, and Renae surprised us with a clever Easter fold full of texture and shine. If you missed the inspiration – this was a post worth revisiting!

Saturday

This week was filled with beautiful creativity from our InKing Royalty card swap!

We started with heartfelt Valentine inspiration, moved through several days of stunning swap cards, and wrapped up yesterday with two fabulous fancy fold designs by Heather and Maria. From textured embossing and delicately colored florals to interactive pouch and gift card designs, the variety and talent in this group continue to amaze me.
