Sending My Love with Golden Glow

Today I’m sharing the third card I’ve made with the beautiful flower arrangement featured on one page of the Artisan Sketched Garden Designer Series Paper. This was actually the first vase and floral image I colored, but I struggled to find the right backdrop for it. Thankfully, inspiration finally struck, and I think I found the perfect foundation for this beautiful bouquet!

Artisan Sketched Garden, Silly Old Bear Designer Series Paper, Stampin' Up!, Brian King, sending love cardThe Artisan Sketched Garden Designer Series Paper is filled to the brim with black-and-white designs that can be colored to match any project or showcased in their striking monochromatic beauty. No matter how you choose to use them, these papers are a must-have addition to your craft room.

Here’s a look at the patterns included in the Artisan Sketched Garden Designer Series Paper:

Artisan Sketched Garden Designer Series Paper, Stampin' Up! 167752I colored the vase with Golden Glow Stampin’ Blends and the flowers with Melon Mambo Stampin’ Blends before carefully snipping out the arrangement for my card. And this arrangement is just one of many beautiful images included on this single sheet:

From the moment I finished coloring the Golden Glow vase, I knew I wanted to pair it with the Very Vanilla background paper from the Silly Old Bear Designer Series Paper. The scattered Golden Glow stars in the pattern beautifully echo the color of the vase and create a wonderful sense of harmony across the design.

To further highlight the Golden Glow tones, I added three 3/4″ strips of Golden Glow Two-Tone Cardstock before layering on the sentiment and floral arrangement.

Last Thoughts

The best part of creating with patterned paper is discovering unexpected combinations. While I colored this floral arrangement weeks ago, it wasn’t until I paired it with the Silly Old Bear Designer Series Paper that the card finally felt complete. Sometimes the perfect design just needs a little patience before all the pieces come together.
