A few weeks ago, I made a trio of notecards with the Mix & Match products in Stampin’ Up!’s May-August 2026 Catalog (if you missed that post, you can see those cards here). Today I’m sharing one of the unfinished ideas I didn’t get to when I was making those cards – a simple combination of a sweet sentiment and patterned paper.
I love when projects sit in my brain (and on my craft table) for a while before finally becoming a finished card!
Here’s the card I made to share with you today:
The sweet sentiment on this card is punched right out of the stickers in the Sincerely Noted Mix & Match Ephemera Pack. I didn’t peel off the backing – I simply added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back so I could pop up the perfectly framed sentiment.
Here’s a look at the other greetings included in this ephemera pack:
While the ephemera pack features both bold and softer shades of Calypso Coral, I thought this sentiment paired beautifully with the Barely Blush gingham pattern from the Silly Old Bear Designer Series Paper:
I cut the paper into 3/4″ strips and positioned them across my card base, letting each one sit just slightly askew. I wanted them all to visually “meet” at the sentiment, almost as though the frame was holding the pieces together, so I arranged them with that in mind.
To finish the card, I added five Calypso Coral Pearlized Faceted Circles for a little sparkle and another pop of Calypso Coral.
If you love this combination of Basic White, Barely Blush and Calypso Coral, I hope you’ll save this color combination for future inspiration:
Last Thoughts
Sometimes the best ideas aren’t the ones we finish right away. This design sat unfinished for a few weeks before everything finally clicked into place, and I’m so glad I came back to it. If you have leftover pieces from a previous project, don’t be afraid to let them wait for the right moment – they might become your next favorite card.
