Forever Friends – an Occasions Catalog Sneak Peek

I love when a Designer Series Paper and sentiment can stand on their own.  Today’s card features two new stamp sets and a new Designer Series Paper that are featured in Stampin’ Up!’s 2016 Occasions Catalog (open for business on January 5, 2016).  Here’s my sweet and simple card:

First Sight, It's My Party Designer Series Paper Stack, Stampin' Up!, Brian King

Tips, Tricks and Reminders

  • First Sight and Birthday Blooms.  Two new stamp sets are featured on this oval of Thick Whisper White: the sentiment is from First Sight, and the flower image is from Birthday Blooms.  Both are soft and sweet – so they pair well together.  Here’s a peek at the two stamp sets, which are sure to be on your “must have” list January 5:

  • Faint Combination.  The layers of paper behind this oval serve to frame the gorgeous sentiment and flower perfectly.  The soft Mint Macaron paper on the top panel is from It’s My Party Designer Series Paper Stack – not what you’d expect from a birthday paper stack, huh?  It’s absolutely lovely.  I stamped the sentiment in Lost Lagoon and the flower in Mint Macaron (stamped off once).  It seems these two stamps were made as one set.
  • Soft and Sweet.  This color combination makes me very happy – musty light blue with foggy pale green.  Lost Lagoon and Mint Macaron were made for one another – don’t you agree?  The base layer of this card and the Designer Series Paper layer are Mint Macaron, while the thin frames and centering band are Lost Lagoon.  If you like this combination of colors, please save this:Stampin' Up! 7. Gorgeous! Love all the layers and that color combo, who would have thought! My birthday is St. Patrick’s Day so I think the mint macaron would be green enough!

  8. Just beautiful as always Brian. The best part of this card is it’s versatility. Change the center saying and batta boom, batta bing – your occasion is covered. Fabulous job yet again Mr. King. Love it.

  9. Breathtakingly simple and elegant. Kudos!

  10. Love the wintry color palette (as it is snowing to beat the band up here in Maine!)
