Earlier this week I shared my 3-D swap for our World Card Making Day event – it was a cute tag for a jar of hot cocoa. Remember? If not, you can see it here. Today, I’m excited to share the ribbon wreath Mom made for the event. Mom joined Stampin’ Up! as a demonstrator so that she’d be able to attend the OnStage Live event last weekend. What fun! Since there’s no risk associated, she paid $99 for $125 of product, attended the event and pre-ordered from the Occasions Catalog. Smart lady, huh?
As part of our event over the weekend, we hosted a 3-D Holiday Gift exchange. The items people made were incredible – there were calendars, beautiful packaging ideas and decorations. As we looked around the Fungeon (that’s the affectionate name I’ve given my craft space in the basement – a combination of Fun and Dungeon), Mom was drawn to the beautiful 5/8″ Mini Striped Ribbons that come in the 2015-2017 In Colors. She tied strands of the ribbon around a foam wreath core, tying the ribbons in knots on the outside of the wreath. Here’s what she made:
The ribbons are a softer version of the 2015-2017 In Colors. Delightful Dijon isn’t as deep, and Watermelon Wonder isn’t as bright. Tip Top Taupe almost looks silver, and Delightful Dijon almost looks gold. While the wreath would look lovely with all five colors, she chose Cucumber Crush, Watermelon Wonder, Tip Top Taupe and Delightful Dijon.
Just look how beautiful these ribbons are (and how wonderful they look together):
If you’d like to be a member of my Stampin’ Up! team – InKing Royalty – I’d love the opportunity to talk with you and answer any questions you might have. It’s a risk-free opportunity to buy a bundle of products at a discount, be a part of an amazing online team and begin ordering from the Occasions Catalog (and earn Sale-a-Bration) before anyone else. Please email me at [email protected] with any questions.
Thanks for stopping by today!

Mary, I LOVE your wreath! You must have had a fantastic time at the big event, too?
Go, Miss Mary King. She rocked the ribbon!

Hugs Frenchie ,
Brian your mother is so creative, now we know where you got your creative nature. She is so sweet and friendly and I really enjoyed talking with her at OnStage.
You go, Ms. Mary King!!! You ROCK this wreath, gf!!
I’m impressed! Keep the ideas coming, Ms. Mary!
Mary, what a lovely wreath! I love it! Congrats on becoming a demonstrator!
Love this cute wreath and I think I need some of that ribbon .
I am glad Mary joined the Royals and maybe a “Blog” is next ???
Fabulous job Mary! You must have a lot of patience to be tying all that ribbon. I hope you aren’t going to let Brian “steal” it away from you. LOL I love that you and Brian get to spend time together crafting. I love to create with my girls, it’s such a special one on one time that I enjoy as much or even more then they do. You are one lucky Dude Mr. King.
Brian and Mrs. King, that is just fantastic! I just think it is super great and has a wonderful finished look! Imagine with Christmas colors.
🙂
I must admit Brian the first time I saw your mom was almost a year ago! She made me laugh, as I’m a mother myself. I like her wreath, did she use an old wreath from PP.
Thanks! I had a foam ring from a craft store from a class I hosted a couple of years ago. She used that. The wreath from the PP kit would have worked great, though. 🙂
Love your mom’s wreath and the fact that she joined up and attended OnStage. She must be so proud of you!
