Over the next couple of weeks, I’ll be sharing brand new projects with each of the five retiring 2015-2017 In Colors: Delightful Dijon, Mint Macaron, Tip Top Taupe, Watermelon Wonder and Cucumber Crush. These colors have been an active part of my life for the past two years, and I’ll sorely miss them when they retire at the end of May, but I also look forward to the new colors that will fill the spot that’s missing when they leave.
We still have several months with them, so why am I telling you about them now? There are two reasons you should be considering these colors now:
- Once it is announced that the colors will officially retire, we will likely see a mad-dash to gather up all the In Colors – and they will be gone before you know it.
- If you love these colors and want to hoard the paper or ink refills, get them now – you can earn Sale-a-Bration rewards at the same time. Win-win.
- While these colors may not be in the 2016-2017 Catalog, they are all great colors.
DELIGHTFUL DIJON
Today’s post features a look at Delightful Dijon. This rich yellow really sneaked up on me last Fall when it was featured in Fall and Christmas Designer Series Papers. How could you NOT love this color after seeing it in all of these beautiful papers. I made this card with several items that showcase the beauty of Delightful Dijon:
I stamped these bees right on the Delightful Dijon spots on this page of Serene Scenery Designer Series Paper Stack. I used my Delightful Dijon Stampin’ Write Marker to color in the letters of this sentiment from Me=Grateful and used my Delightful Dijon ink to stamp the center of the bee from the Garden in Bloom stamp set. All of this is showcased on a base of Delightful Dijon cardstock.
Stamp Sets: Garden in Bloom, Me=Grateful Papers: Serene Scenery, Delightful Dijon, Basic Black, Whisper White Inks: Archival Basic Black, Delightful Dijon, Stampin’ Write Markers (Delightful Dijon) Accessories: Perfect White Accents, Stampin’ Dimensionals
Here are some great products and accessories that feature or include Delightful Dijon:
I hope you’ll stock up on some great Delightful Dijon products – before they are gone. Thanks for stopping by today!

I love this card. You have such a great way of stamping your own DSP backgrounds. Placement, color, design are “spot on” (no pun intended). This would be a fun card to make or receive.
I too was surprised by how much I liked Delightful Dijon and use it more then I ever thought I would. I’m crossing my fingers that perhaps it will make the cut and become a permanent color. Love your card and that little bee. So sweet and, of course, your layering is not only beautiful but perfect!
This card is BEE yond cute ….it is adorable ! I have been looking at this DSP stack and now that you have reminded me of your stamping on dsp I think I want to get it . As far as these In Colors passing on soon I will miss all of them . Yes, I have the refills . I think we should suggest to SU to have an Oldies ,but Goodies line of colors !
Bee-rilliant! Great design with the Serene Scenery paper. I am impressed!

I’ll join in on the puns…Bee-my, favorite! Love it with the black.
Very clever using the bees to enhance the DSP! Love all the details of this card!
I’m charmed. Love the bee theme with the sentiment!
You are the absolute best at using DSP creatively! I love the bees stamped on this pattern!
Cute card Brian. It reminds me of our team with all those “busy bees”.
