While I was playing with the Celebration Time Bundle for my club meeting (you can see my first project here), I thought it would be fun to make some quick-and-easy tags with the Celebration Thinlits Dies – what a versatile set. Here are the two Christmas tags I made with these dies (and a couple of other great products):
Tips, Tricks and Reminders
- Celebration Time Bundle. I shared this new bundle on my blog for the first time this week – the sweet cake is showcased here to celebrate the Global Design Project’s 100th challenge. What fun! While the simple card showcases the die with a cake and cake stand, there are some really great dies in the set of coordinating Thinlits & Framelits. There are three options for tag bases but some many more to dress up the sweet tags you create. Here’s a look at this fun bundle:
- Tag One. I cropped this simple card with the outline tag and Night of Navy cardstock. I cropped the tree and deer with the Card Front Builder Dies and positioned them on a simple sentiment that was punched with the Classic Label Punch. The tree, speckled with snow, is cropped from Be Merry Designer Series Paper. The moon gave me a big “woo hoo” when I needed something for the top, right corner of the tag – it’s from the Card Front Builder Thinlits Dies, too! I added a sweet bow, using ribbon that was retired (I didn’t realize was gone until I wrote this post…):

- Tag Two. The second tag features two layers from the Celebration Thinlits Dies – a Thick Whisper White base (similar to the one I used above) and a Real Red, striped layer that lays right over the first. I snipped the thin, red line across a portion of the tag to give me room for a sentiment. I added holly leaves with the Holly Builder Punch and little berries from the Holly Berry Happiness stamp set. Such fun!

Stamp Sets: Carols of Christmas, Santa’s Sleigh, Holly Berry Happiness Papers: Be Merry Designer Series Paper, Night of Navy, Thick Whisper White, Real Red, Wild Wasabi Inks: Archival Basic Black, Stampin’ Write Marker (Real Red) Accessories: Celebration Thinlits Dies, Card Front Builder Thinlits Dies, Holly Builder punch, Classic Label punch, Linen Thread, Whisper White, Stampin’ Dimensionals
What do you think? I hope you love these Celebration Thinlits Dies as much as I do. 🙂
Thanks for stopping by today!
Brian

Good morning Brian,
Love the tags. Thank you for going into detail about making the tags.
Your AWESOME and have a great day.
Thank you so much, Lesa! I’m so glad you like the tags. I appreciate your kindness.
My friend love love , those tags , lovely ♥️
Tfs hugs Frenchie
Thanks so much, Frenchie! They were fun to make (and mostly made with pieces-parts I had sitting around). You’re the best!
Ooooh! I LOVE these tags!! And how genius to cut away one of the diagonal lines to fit a sentiment! Love how your creative mind works, Mr. King!
Thanks, Julie! I was particularly happy with that – such an easy “upgrade” of the die. I appreciate you!
How adorable are these tags. I’m definitely going to have to include something like this in my September classes.
They’ll love them! So easy to make with a really great impact. Thanks, Robbye!
Really cute tags, Brian. Love the colors and designs. Enjoy your day!
Thanks, HJ! I’m so glad you like them. <3
The tags are as sweet as can be! The scale is perfect for a smaller project which makes the tree and the deer so much more realistic! Definitely have to case these sweethearts Brian.
Thanks so much, Ginger. I liked how the tiny deer (he’s so small and cute) looked on this small tag. I’m so glad you like them.
I liked the tags you made. I will have to get the die set that has the deer. Is the classic punch the same as the retired word punch?
Thanks so much, MargaretAnn. I’m glad you like the tags. The classic punch has a similar height and length as the classic punch, but this one has pointed edges (vs. rounded). I snipped off the left-most edge to make a flat banner side.
Hi Brian:
I always go through a ton of tags at Christmas and have only made them one year and my kids loved them and have given me “the look” ever since when they see a bought tag on one of their gifts. You have now inspired me to make tags for this years giving. The ones you made seem quick, easy and are absolutely delightful. Thanks for getting me enthused once again.
Yay for making and giving lots of tags. What fun! Your family knows how much you put into them. You can easily crank out a bunch and still give each tag a personal touch. <3
Wow, only you Brian would think to snip the line to make room for the sentiment, what a great tip. Tags will make great favors at my workshop thank you. These are awesome!
Thanks, Katrina. I was pretty happy with myself over that one. 🙂 I appreciate your feedback.
Tags like these would make even a small gift a major one. Always love the wonderful way you incorporate multiple sets to create an iconic Brian design. You’re my hero!
Oh, Linda! Thanks so much! I memorize the stamps when the catalog comes out so I know just what I need when I want to pair images. 🙂 Thanks for your comment!
I adore how you incorporated the dies from Carols of Christmas (builder) on the tag. Perfect scale. So classic and cool!
Thanks, Mary! I thought the little deer deserved a little landscape. 🙂
Adorable! Love the tree and deer from Carols of Christmas. Just the right size for a tag!
Thanks, Candy! This tree has to be one of my favorites. These dies are great!
