Color Me Happy for CTS243

This week’s CAS(E) This Sketch challenge offers a fun, modern sketch – and I couldn’t wait to jump in.  I knew from the start that the long, thin panel along the right side of the sketch would be filled with the gorgeous lanterns from Stampin’ Up!’s Color Me Happy stamp set (currently available to demonstrators and hopefully soon available to customers).  Here’s my card:

CTS243Tips, Tricks and Reminders

  • Color Me Happy.  How adorable are these lanterns? I just love how light and airy they are and can think of a thousand occasions that call for these bright beacons of illuminating glow.  Lucky for us, the lanterns aren’t the only awesome elements of this set (released to demonstrators for now) – check out those beautiful sentiments and those chubby birds!  ๐Ÿ™‚  Here’s a look at the Color Me Happy stamp set:

  • Stampin’ Blends!  Stampin’ Up! has released a new set of alcohol markers – these new Stampin’ Blends markers will be offered in a dark and light shade of select colors.  Alcohol markers are so easy to use – they give such a uniform wash of color (with one marker) or beautiful depth and texture (with more than one color).  Here’s a close-up look at the lanterns that were colored with the Stampin’ Blends:Color Me Happy, Sunshine Wishes Thinlits Dies, Stampin' Up!, Brian KingWith nestable, press-fit lids, these markers are designed to stay sealed so the markers stay inky long-term.  I used Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blends markers on my project today.  I also used the Color Lifter to pull away some of the color to lighten things up a bit.  Order Stampin’ Blends & Color Me Happy TODAY – Stampin’ Blends and the Color Me Happy stamp set are available to be purchased by Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators (through today), and no date for when customers can purchase them has been published.  New Demonstrators, though, can add these markers to their Starter Kit (up to $125 of product – your choice – for just $99) – what a deal!  If you have questions, please email me at [email protected].  To join today and add these amazing markers, please CLICK HERE.
  • Color Combination.  Do you love this fresh combination of colors?  I’ve come back to this combination of Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie and Pool Party for several years – can’t seem to get enough.  They are just so bright and cheery!  If you are inspired by these colors, please save this:Stampin' Up!
