Today is a very special day. It’s my birthday! On this day, many year ago, my mother was first introduced to my my smiling face. She says I was always a happy baby, and I believe her when she says it. Here’s a picture of my mom opening the hand-made gift she gave me to celebrate my special day:

My favorite cake is a two layer chocolate cake with almond flavored white frosting and some kind of chocolate poured on the top that would drip down the side. My mom would make this for me every year.

Banana cake was never a thing for me until I tried this recipe. It is yummy. Favorite B-day cake for me was banana cake made by my sweet grandmother. She is no longer with us so I don’t get to enjoy it. (No one can make a banana cake like she did.) I must say your coconut cake looks pretty tempting. I’ll be over later for my slice (and to pick up my winnings)!?????
