Picture Perfect Party 3″ x 3″ Birthday Card

On Sunday, I shared a fun card and confetti pouch with products from the Picture Perfect Party Suite in Stampin’ Up!’s 2018 Occasions Catalog. If you missed those projects, you can see them here. I love the photographic appeal of the pages in this pack of papers, and I know you will, too. Anytime I can make a fast card that looks amazing, I’m happy! Here’s a simple 3″ x 3″ card I made with the page of candles with this paper:

Tips, Tricks and Reminders

  • Picture Perfect Party. I’m in love with the Picture Perfect Party Suite – it includes a stamp set and an amazing stack of papers (shown on my card above), along with an embossing folder, fun clips, Stampin’ Spots and paper ribbon. My 3″ x 3″ card doesn’t use all of those, so I’m going to share the items it does showcase. Here’s a look at this fun Picture Perfect Birthday stamp set – it’s a photopolymer stamp set for easy lineup:

This Picture Perfect Party 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper is the star of this card, though – don’t you agree? This simple panel of candles doesn’t need any embellishment to make it pop. It didn’t even need the sentiment here for the recipient to know that this is a card that bears birthday wishes. Here’s a look at this fun paper:

How fun are these new products? I’m certain you’ll find great ways to use these products when the new catalog is released January 3.

  • Think Ahead. I lined up this little sentiment band with the right side of this panel of Designer Series Paper. As such, I glued it down to the focal panel before gluing the focal panel to the Berry Burst frame beneath it. While you CAN line it up after the paper is glued to the frame, it’s much easier to glue it down first. I always think through each of the layers on a project before gluing down any of the pieces. It also allows me to ensure I like everything the way it is before anything gets glued down. Maybe that’s just me. 🙂
  • Don’t forget the envelope. I love how Stampin’ Up! designs its papers with themed pages on one side and color-coordinated patterns on the other. I used a scrap of paper from the back of the bows (from my project on Sunday) to cover the flap of a 3″ x 3″ envelope – an easy accent for a sweet card:Picture Perfect Birthday, Picture Perfect Party Designer Series Paper, Stampin' Up!, Brian King, birthday card
