So Much to Celebrate in 2018

Happy New Year’s Day! Did you stay out late last night to ring in the new year? I did not – I’m waking up this morning feeling refreshed and rested because I went to bed before the New Year arrived. No worries – I have all of the celebration saved on my DVR and can enjoy the excitement as many times as I’d like. πŸ™‚

I really love this time of year. We enter a new year with so much hope that we can make changes that will have a big impact on our lives. I respect those who make resolutions and stick to them. I just decide to make small changes and see how those go – I can always expand on them later but don’t feel the need to define the big change just yet.

To ring in the new year in style, I created a sweet 3-1/2″ x 6″ (7″ x 6″, scored at 3-1/2″) card that showcases a handful of products I love. Here’s my sweet-and-simple card:

Last week’s Global Design Project challenge features a “Home for the Holidays” theme and extends another week. Since New Year’s Day is part of the Holidays, I’m sharing this project there, too. Here’s a look at the badge for this challenge:

Tips, Tricks and Reminders

  • Celebrate You Thinlits. During Sale-a-Bration, you earn a free item from the Sale-a-Bration brochure for every $50 you spend. How cool is that?! This year, there’s an amazing twist – there are two “Level 2” options that can be selected with a $1o0 purchase. One of these items is a set of three Thinlits Dies that coordinate with the Amazing You stamp set (one of the “Level 1” options in the brochure). The “celebrate” on this card is cropped with Basic Black cardstock – it’s gorgeous, huh? Here’s a look at the Celebrate You Thinlits:

The “2018” the form the background of this card are cropped with the Large Numbers Framelits Dies and Peekaboo Peach cardstock. Here’s a look at these fun dies:

  • Picture Perfect Party 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper. The colors on my card were pulled right from the amazing pack of Picture Perfect Party Designer Series Paper, one of the wonderful, new products in Stampin’ Up!’s 2018 Occasions Catalog. One side of each page is a photograph of party-themed images, and the opposite side showcases colorful and fun designs. This confetti design is so fun! Here’s a look at this pack of papers:

  • Sweet Color Combination. I love the sweet colors in this stack of papers. I pulled the Berry Burst and Peekaboo Peach combination (used on the base and frame of this card) right from the papers. Such fun! If you like this combination of colors, too, please save this:Stampin' Up! Color Inspiration: Peekaboo Peach, Berry Burst, Basic Black
