Hooray! I’m so excited for you! You’ve accomplished wonderful things, and you deserve recognition for that! That’s why I’ve made this fun card for you and hope you like it. I used the circular “Hooray” from Stampin’ Up!’s Confetti Celebration stamp set to create a bold sentiment – and to fill the background with the same image. It’s all for you! Here’s my card:
Tips, Tricks and Reminders
- Hooray! I’ve loved this “hooray” since it was first introduced – I love the fun font and the stretch of the fun letters. Oh! And I love to celebrate the successes of the people I love. The sentiment is found in Stampin’ Up!’s Confetti Celebration stamp set. Here’s a look at this set:
My string of hoorays create a soft wave in the background panel of this card. I used my Stamp-a-Ma-Jig to line up the sentiments one after the other – I love the look of that.
- Layers, Layers, Layers. This card is pretty clean, despite the seven layers of cardstock. I don’t know how that happens, but I love when it does. Because I’m really sweet – and because you’ve accomplished all of your goals this week – I’m going to share the measurements for the layers on this card, working my way from the base to the top layer:
- Berry Burst – 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, scored at 4-1/4″
- Berry Burst – 5-1/8″ x 3-7/8″
- Picture Perfect Party 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper – 5″ x 3-3/4″
- Berry Burst – 4-1/8″ x 2-7/8″
- Whisper White – 4″ x 2-3/4″
- Berry Burst – Layering Circles Framelits Dies
- Whisper White – 2″ Circle punch
- Sweet Sherbet Combo. I often pull the colors for my cards from Designer Series Papers. For this card, though, the paper came second. I started with a stamped panel of Peekaboo Peach sentiment and added the Berry Burst sentiment before I was certain how I’d complete the rest of the card. I was delighted to find this panel of pattern from Picture Perfect Party 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper – just what I needed for a sweet backdrop. If you like this combination of Whisper White, Peekaboo Peach and Berry Burst, please save this:

I mentioned I’ve used the “Hooray” sentiment from Confetti Celebration several times. Here are four other times I’ve used it (you can click on the photos to see the original posts):

Peekaboo Peach+Berry Burst= Perfection! Love this color combo so much, and I love how you can make 7 layers so streamlined and perfect. Hooray!
Thanks so much, Nina! The seven layers saw much back-and-forth yesterday before I landed on this combination. Glad you like it. <3
I adore the way you layered Hooray for the background as well as for the sentiment. Graphically charged and cool!
Thanks so much, Mary! I started there and then spend much of my day trying to figure out where to go next. π Glad you like it. <3
I love love your showing of the various cards using your HOORAY ! As I say all the time that I look at the variety and versatility of my stamps .
HOORAY FOR YOU !
I’m so happy you like them, Sonny! It’s a fun sentiment, right? It was fun for me to look back, too! <3
And Hooray for Brian! Saw you in the Stampin’ Success magazine last night…very impressive, congrats!!!
π Thanks, Dawn! It was fun to be interviewed. Glad you like the article. <3
Thanks for the congrats. I’ll have to think of something I’ve done to deserve it! Love that stamp set and you’ve used it so very well on each of those cards.
π Thanks so much, Dianne! I appreciate your kind feedback. <3
I love the sentiment in the background too!
Thanks, Linda! It started bigger, and then I snipped away at it until I arrived at this smaller panel.
Love this card! And… thank-you, thank-you, thank-you for the measurements. They can be tricky to figure out with layers without a lot of bad cuts as you experiment.
Saw your star shining again in Stampin’Success yesterday. Twice in one week! You truly are “Royalty”
π Thanks so much, Debbie! <3 I'm so glad you like it. I go through a lot of paper to make every card I share, but that's the fun part to me. I don't want to deprive you (and others) of the excitement of playing around until you get what you want. <3
I love that you made your background with a word stamp. I have never done that but now that I’ve seen your fantastic card I have written myself a note that words can make a fantastic background! Thanks so much for always giving me ideas that would never have come to mind. I have a little notebook titled “hints from Brian” where I write these things down and then review them when my mind doesn’t want to be creative enough.
Don’t know what you did to get into the Stampin’ Success newsletter, or whatever it was, but congratulations anyway. You are always a Shining Star in my book.
Thanks so much, Grace! Stampin’ Success is a quarterly magazine that’s distributed to Demonstrators. I was interviewed for an article about my approach to business and crafting. π <3
Cool mix of both DSP and stamped background…very sherbet, too! Sweet card!
Thanks so much, Windy! Glad you like it. <3
You are so talented! I’m always amazed and what you come up with. I think I’m going to have a folder of just things I want to CASE from you! There are always so simple and elegant/cute.
Thanks so much, Elizabeth. I appreciate your comments and am happy to inspire. <3
Hooray…I like them all, itβs so fun to see them all together!
Thanks, Katrina! I was surprised to see so many in my search – glad you like them (I obviously like this stamp). π
