Best Wishes with the Darling Label Punch Box

On Saturday, I shared a project that showcases the the Tropical Chic stamp set and coordinating Tropical Thinlits Dies. You can see that post here. Today I’ve made a quick-and-simple card that features the Tropical Escape Designer Series Paper (gorgeous!) and the stamp set and punch from the Darling Label Punch Box. Here’s my card:Tips, Tricks and Reminders

• Tropical Escape & Darling Label Punch. The Tropical Escape 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper is filled with a gorgeous mix of pink and green patterns (with a couple of Basic Black images thrown in for good measure). I’ve featured four of the Blushing Bride patterns in 1-1/2″ squares behind the sentiment at the focal point of the card. Here’s a look at the gorgeous Tropical Escape Designer Series Paper: The focal sentiment is both stamped with a sentiment and cropped with a punch from the Darling Label Punch Box, my #1 Favorite Thing from Stampin’ Up!’s 2018 Annual Catalog. Here’s a look at the Darling Label Punch Box:
• White Frames & Colorful Layers. I love the crispness of a thin frame around panels on a card. I am especially drawn toe white frames – they are so crisp and really pop against beautiful color panels. I added an extra panel of Granny Apple Green (with a white border) behind my sentiment to pull some more of the gorgeous green into the center of the card. Here’s a closer look:My sentiment is embossed with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder on Soft Suede cardstock (again, a callback to another layer on the card) and punched with the Darling Label punch.
• Sweet Color Combination. I pulled Blushing Bride and Granny Apple Green right from the pack of Tropical Escape 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper – what a brilliant combination! Soft Suede looks great with pink and with green, so I knew it would look good with this bright green and soft pink.
