I’m diving in today to show you some of my favorite things from this amazing catalog.

My Favorite Things

Stampin’ Up!’s 2018 Holiday Catalog is INCREDIBLE! What a gorgeous showcase of some amazing, new products that, I suspect, you are going to love as much as I do. Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators have enjoyed playing with some of these new items for the past month, but this week is our first chance to order many of the new items. I have a HUGE wish list, and I’m always excited to share that list with you.

Hopefully this list of my favorite things will help you to shuffle or whittle down your list – or it might inspire you to add some items you overlooked. Either way, I’m happy to share my favorites.

In an effort to narrow down my list a bit, I’ve lumped my favorites into categories. Some are themes, some are product lines and some are accessories. Today’s list of favorites includes Fall-themed, Halloween and All-Occasion products. I’m saving an entire post for my favorite Christmas and Winter-themed products.

FALL FAVORITES

Most of the Holiday Catalog is geared toward Christmas and snowy winters. There are some really wonderful products, though, that are perfect for a cool, Autumn day when the air is crisp and the leaves are falling. Though there are no Pilgrims or turkeys, several of these products have a Thanksgiving-appropriate appeal. I love these products (Fall is my favorite time of year), and I’m excited to showcase some of my favorites with you.

Country Lane Suite

Country Lane Suite, Stampin' Up! 2018 Holiday Catalog, 11020Even if you don’t live in the country, there’s lots to love about the down-home goodness of the Country Home Suite, which includes the Country Home stamp set, Country Lane Designer Series Paper and lots of amazing, coordinated accessories. Here’s a closer look at three of the items in this suite:

  • Country Home Photopolymer Stamp Set. I really like the rustic feel of the jug and pitcher in Country Home and the floral arrangements that accompany each. It’s the variety of sentiments, though, that I love most. While they are each wonderful for a Fall-themed card, there’s not just one time of year to show how grateful or thankful we are. • Country Lane Designer Series Paper. You know how much I love Designer Series Papers, right? The mix of Fall images (there are pumpkins, leaves and cotton in these designs) make Country Lane Designer Series Paper perfect for Fall, but it’s the mix of colors I love most. Mint Macaron, Blackberry Bliss and Crushed Curry work together beautifully in this pack of papers. • Tin Tile Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. A couple of years ago, I would have said that embossing folders were passe. I wasn’t using them and yawned at the though. Over the past year (or more), I’ve fallen in love with them all over again – and I’m especially digging the dynamic folders because the impressions are deep and on-trend. Here’s a Stampin’ Up! video that showcases the Tin Tile Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and some of the accessories that coordinate:

Falling for Leaves Bundle

The Falling Leaves stamp set is beautifully designed for Fall with whimsical leaves and great sentiments, and the coordinating Detailed Leaves Thinlits Dies are a perfect accompaniment. HALLOWEEN HAPPINESS

Halloween is a happy time when children can use their imagination to play dress-up for one night and enjoy the fun of the day. Even if you don’t send Halloween cards (and why don’t you?!), there are lots of great ways to decorate for the day or create fun party favors. Here are my favorite Halloween products in Stampin’ Up!’s 2018 Holiday Catalog:

Trick or Tweet Stamp Set

I don’t create with a lot of “cutesy” animals, but I love the silly animals in the Trick or Tweet stamp set. Who doesn’t love a cat mummy, an elephant bat, a witch dog or a ghost bird?! The sentiments in this set are as fun and versatile as the images. Here’s a look at the Trick or Tweet stamp set: Trick or Tweet, Stampin' Up! 147722And here’s my card with the elephant bat (you can click on the picture below to read my original post):Trick or Tweet, Takeout Treats, Stampin' Up!, Brian King, GDP152, halloween card

Spooky Sweets Bundle

Even with bats and a gloomy sky, Halloween projects can be fun with the Spooky Sweets Bundle. The Bat Punch is such a great punch – and I love the graphic style of the bats in the set. Here’s a closer look at this bundle: Spooky Sweets Bundle, Stampin' Up!, 149973Here are some samples designed by Stampin’ Up! that showcase the fun of this set:

ALL-OCCASION FAVORITES

There are some products in Stampin’ Up!’s 2018 Holiday Catalog that are perfect for the Fall and Winter Holidays that are ALSO great throughout the year. Here are some of my favorites:

Frosted Floral Specialty Designer Series Paper

There’s a gorgeous shine to the pages in Stampin’ Up!’s Frosted Floral Specialty Designer Series Paper. You can’t see it in the pictures, but the shimmer is definitely there – and it’s grand! I love how Stampin’ Up! has designed this paper for a winter day, but it’s perfect for the rest of the year, too! I love the colors – and the patterns are amazing! Here’s a look at the colors and images in the Frosted Floral Specialty Designer Series Paper:

Frosted Floral Specialty Designer Series Paper, Stampin' Up! 147800Bonus – Frosted & Clear Epoxy Droplets. The Frosted Floral Specialty Designer Series Paper is amazing – it’s filled to the brim with gorgeous flowers on a shimmery paper. If you want to dress up those flowers with ease, the Frosted & Clear Epoxy Droplets are going to be your best friend. As the name suggests, half are clear and half are frosted. These embellishments are perfect for dew drops or other accents on a card – a perfect compliment to this paper.

Buffalo Check Background Stamp

Location. Location. Location. The popularity of a product depends on where it’s located in the catalog and how it’s highlighted with the other products. If you aren’t looking for it, you’ll miss the Buffalo Check Background Stamp – but don’t! This is a background stamp that will be a fixture in your stamp collection – it pairs with the rustic feel of the Fall stamps in this catalog and will make a great picnic table cover in the Spring. New Stampin’ Blends

I was SO EXCITED to see new Stampin’ Blends in Stampin’ Up!’s 2018 Holiday Catalog. I can’t get enough of these alcohol markers – and they helped me to fill the slots in my marker holder. 🙂 Here are the new colors that are added in this catalog:

  • Real Red
  • Shaded Spruce
  • Blackberry Bliss
  • Cajun Craze
  • Basic Black
  • Mango Melody

If you haven’t yet tried Stampin’ Blends, I beg you to try them out. You’ll love how smoothly they paint on and how easily they blend together. These markers work best with Thick Whisper White cardstock and Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

Oh! There’s More…

What do you think of my list so far? What are your favorite Fall or Halloween products? This party is just getting started – I’ll be back tomorrow to share a few more of the things I love – and tomorrow’s list is ALL CHRISTMAS!

I hope you’ve enjoyed my summary so far, and hope I’ve confirmed your wish list – or helped you find something else you can’t live without.  🙂  I can’t wait to share the rest of the list with you tomorrow.

Thanks for stopping by today!
