I love to collect and use Stampin’ Up!’s Designer Series Papers. What a great way to find inspiration for our projects! The colors and patterns pair perfectly with other products we love. Over the past several months, I have shared cards that showcase the patterns and colors in Stampin’ Up!’s Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper, a pack of Spring-themed papers in Stampin’ Up!’s 2019 Sale-a-Bration brochure that can be used all year long. With one side of colorful patterns and one side of black-and-white designs, this pack of 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper (12 pages total) can be selected for free with a $50 purchase during Sale-a-Bration (between now and March 31, 2019). I’m excited to share a bit more about the papers today.
I often pull my colors right from the Designer Series Papers as a starter. That’s a huge benefit of our Designer Series Papers – they are designed with the amazing shades in our color families, so the pair perfectly with our cardstock, inks and accessories. Here’s a look at the patterns and colors in the Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper:
You can click on the image below to see all of the patterns of these pages in my online store:
How fun are these pages?! They are a perfect mix of gorgeous images with versatile patterns. This pack of papers includes Balmy Blue, Basic Black, Daffodil Delight, Grapefruit Grove, Highland Heather, Lemon Lime Twist and Whisper White. Such a sweet collection of colors!
Inspiration
Here are some cards I’ve made with the pages from Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper (you can click on the photo to read the original post about each project):
There are so many ways to use these versatile papers, don’t you think? Today I’m going to share a couple more suggestions for pulling these colors right from the patterns in the Designer Series Paper.
Straight from the Papers
These colors are combined from the colors exclusively in this pack of Toil & Trouble Designer Series Paper:
Combined with Other Colors
By adding one other color to the shades in these patterns, you can really transform the feel of the Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper. Here are some color combinations starters that feature two colors from this pack of papers and one color from outside the pack:
By limiting the colors you’ll use in a project (or expanding the colors to those outside a pack of papers), you can really find some beautiful color combinations for our projects.
While the Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper is a Sale-a-Bration offering, the pack of papers coordinates beautifully with the Gingham Gala Suite of products in Stampin’ Up!’s 2019 Occasions Catalog. To see all of the items that are part of the suite, click on the image below:
I hope you find this helpful, I and I hope some of these combinations inspire you. Please save any (or all of these) to Pinterest for future reference. To follow me on Pinterest, please click here: follow me on Pinterest.

Well, I have that beautiful paper on my order today !! I think it is a neat thing that some of the butterflies can be punched out with the Butterfly Punch …(talking about coordination !!)
Pretty cards ….that card with the color strips is just the CUTEST !!
Happy Friday !!
Thanks, Sonny! You’re going to LOVE this paper – so happy for you. I, too, love that the papers work so well with the punches.
Also makes a col selling tool for including the punch! I love that we can color on some of them. Your card with the stripes was brilliant. Thanks for posting some fun color combinations. I have been playing with fresh fig a bit and had not thought about pairing it with the grapefruit grove. I wonder how they would taste together in a recipe?
I’m certain a grapefruit fig tart would be delightful. 🙂 Thanks, Chris! I’m loving this paper, too! ♥
