A Friend Is Thinking of You

I’ve been wanting to play with the Butterfly Gala Bundle for quite some time – it’s amazing! Because it’s been unorderable, though, I’ve resisted (so I can showcase products you can buy). Well, it’s back – so I inked it up! Here’s my card:

Butterfly Gala, Part of My Story, Stampin' Up!, Brian King

Tips, Tricks and Reminders

  • Butterfly Gala is Back! The Butterfly Duet Punch was so over-the-top popular that Stampin’ Up! had to turn it off while a new shipment of punches was manufactured. The shipment arrived, and Stampin’ Up! has turned the product back on. Yippee! Just in time to earn Sale-a-Bration rewards with this bundle (when you add enough to get your product total to $50 or $100). Yay! Here’s a look at the bundle that you should get NOW if you don’t already have it:Butterfly Gala Bundle, Stampin' Up! 150599The sweet butterfly that’s perched on the Lemon Lime Twist frame was stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento, punched with the Butterfly Duet punch and colored with the Light and Dark Highland Heather Stampin’ Blends. I made this butterfly darker in the center – always a safe choice when coloring a butterfly or flower.Butterfly Gala, Part of My Story, Stampin' Up!, Brian King
  • Sale-a-Bration is Going Away. You may have noticed, but the butterfly isn’t the only component of this card. There are also two Sale-a-Bration goodies on this card that you need to have. THE LAST DAY OF SALE-A-BRATION IS MARCH 31 (that’s tomorrow!). Don’t you just love this sentiment? While this is perfect for a show of sympathy or support, it’s also a sweet statement to just to let a friend know you are thinking of them. Here’s a look at the Part of My Story stamp set:Part of My Story, Stampin' Up!, 2019 Sale-a-Bration 149719The gorgeous pattern behind my framed sentiment and butterfly is from one of the the Sale-a-Bration Designer Series Paper offerings – Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper. Love it! It also coordinates with the Butterfly Duet punch – bonus! • Build-a-Frame. A couple of weeks ago, I shared tips for building a frame around vellum (you can see that post here). Today’s card is similar but a little different. I used two layers of the Rectangle Stitched Framelits Dies (skipping one in between) to crop out a Lemon Lime Twist frame. Here’s a closer look at that frame: Butterfly Gala, Part of My Story, Stampin' Up!, Brian KingI cropped the sentiment from a piece of Thick Whisper White (using the die that was between the two used in the frame above). I glued the sentiment to the card base and then, with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals, popped up the frame over the sentiment. Here’s a look at the must-have Rectangle Stitched Framelits Dies:Rectangle Stitched Framelits Dies, Stampin' Up!, 148551And here’s a look at the popped up layers on my card:Butterfly Gala, Part of My Story, Stampin' Up!, Brian KingWhile it looks super-thick, there are only three layers popped up with Dimensionals.

Bundles: Butterfly Gala  Stamp Sets: Butterfly Gala, Part of My Story  Papers: Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper, Highland Heather, Lemon Lime Twist, Thick Whisper White  Inks: Memento Tuxedo Black, Stampin’ Blends (Highland Heather)  Accessories: Rectangle Stitched Framelits Dies, Butterfly Duet Punch, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals

What do you think? Do you love this bundle? I’m so glad it’s back and hope you’ll pop over right away to add it to an order. Perfect timing, too, with (1) the end of Sale-a-Bration here and (2) the start of Spring.

Thanks for stopping by today!
