Little Ladybug for FabFri179

It’s been a busy week at work, so I wasn’t able to get a card made for the design team launch of FabFriday’s sketch challenge yesterday, but that doesn’t mean I didn’t have a solid idea of what I wanted to make. After dinner last night, I retreated to The Fungeon (that’s the name I’ve given my craft room) and created a bright, cheery, super-fun card with two new Sale-a-Bration items you’re going to love. Here’s my “good luck” card:

Little Ladybug, Power of Hope Bundle, Stampin' Up!, Brian King, Sale-a-Bration 2020While the object in the ladybug’s hand might be a flower, it could also be a four-leaf clover, right? I colored it green and paired it with this sweet “good luck” sentiment. Here’s the banner for the challenge that inspired my card:

FabFri179Tips, Tricks and Reminders

  • New Sale-a-Bration Items. Sale-a-Bration is a 3 month sales promotion during which customers can earn exclusive, free products when they shop during January, February and March. It’s always such fun! My card features two products that are available during Stampin’ Up!’s Sale-a-Bration 2020. The large flower and ladybug are from the Little Ladybug stamp set. The set is a Sale-a-Bration Host Stamp Set that is FREE when you place a qualifying $300 order. The stamp set is a BONUS that’s given on top of all the other Sale-a-Bration items you can earn with your purchases. The Power of Hope Bundle can be selected free with a $100 purchase. The bundle includes the Power of Hope stamp set and gorgeous Stone 3D Embossing Folder. • Little Touches of Color. There are just a few touches of color in the images on my card. Here’s a closer look at the flower and cute ladybug:Little Ladybug, Power of Hope Bundle, Stampin' Up!, Brian King, Sale-a-Bration 2020I stamped the images with Jet Black Stazon ink and used a Pineapple Punch Stampin’ Write Marker to color the center of the flower. I used Call Me Clover to color the leaves on the flower and the clover. I colored the ladybug’s wings with a Lovely Lipstick Stampin’ Write Marker and colored a couple of areas with a Smoky Slate Stampin’ Write Marker. Finally, I colored the ladybug’s body a bit with a Blender Pen and Petal Pink ink.
  • Colors. The Coastal Cabana backdrop at the center of my card is from the Follow Your Art Designer Series Paper – a page I’ve used a lot. Here’s a look at the colors and patterns in the Follow Your Art Designer Series Paper: Follow Your Art Designer Series Paper, Stampin' Up! 2019 Annual Catalog, 149489Along with the Coastal Cabana backdrop, Call Me Clover and Lovely Lipstick make a powerful trio on this card.
