Welcome with Tropical Oasis

There are two reasons I’m excited to share today’s card – (1) it showcases some incredible, new products from Stampin’ Up!’s January – June 2020 Mini Catalog and (2) it showcases the Well Said stamp set and Well Written Dies that are part of my Big Blog Candy Giveaway that’s going on right now. The card is a simple 4-1/4″ x 4-1/4″ card to welcome a new guest who’s coming to stay with us. Here’s my card:

Well Said, In the Tropics Dies, Stampin' Up!, Brian King

Tips, Tricks and Reminders

  • Tropical Oasis. Did you know that pineapples are a symbol of hospitality? When merchant ships would head out on week-long and month-long journeys (often to the Caribbean islands), the captain would come home with a pineapple and spear it on his front gate to let the neighbors know he and his crew had made it home safely. The pineapple was an invitation for people to come visit. Tropical Oasis Designer Series Paper features flowers, leaves, pineapples and textures that perfectly capture the tropics. Here’s a look at the colors and patterns in the Tropical Oasis Designer Series Paper:Tropical Oasis Designer Series Paper, Stampin' Up! 151252 I used the In the Tropics Dies (part of the Timeless Tropical Bundle) to build this sweet flower and the supporting greenery – a perfect accent for the pineapples and “welcome” sentiment. • Brian’s Big Blog Candy Giveaway. Here’s a closer look at the sweet-and-simple arrangement I created on the front of my card with the In the Tropics Dies (I used Pear Pizzazz, Old Olive, Poppy Parade and So Saffron cardstock to make this tropical delight):Well Said, In the Tropics Dies, Stampin' Up!, Brian KingThe cropped “welcome” sentiment and stamped “so happy you’re here” are from the Well Said stamp set and coordinating Well Written Dies. I love these products so much! • Soothing Color Combination. I love the soothing, tropical colors in the Tropical Oasis Designer Series Paper – such beauties! For the base and layers of my card, I pulled So Saffron, Pear Pizzazz and Soft Suede right out of the papers. If you love this combination of So Saffron, Pear Pizzazz and Soft Suede as much as I do, please save this for future reference:Stampin' Up! Color Inspiration: So Saffron, Pear Pizzazz, Soft Suede
