Simply Citrus All-Inclusive Card Kit

I hope you had a wonderful World Cardmaking Day – did you get to make a card or two? While I make cards almost every day, it was nice to sit back and make the cards in my Simply Citrus All-Inclusive Card Kit. I made my cards with the instructions in the kit – the cards are absolutely lovely so I didn’t have to recreate them in my own image.

Here’s a look at the cover of the instructions (of course that’s the first thing I did after pulling the plastic wrap off the kit):

Simply Citrus All-Inclusive Card Kit, Stampin Up!, Brian KingThis all-inclusive kit makes 15 cards (3 each of 5 designs). The kit includes the following:

  • Simply Citrus Photopolymer Stamp Set
  • Night of Navy Stampin’ Spot
  • clear block
  • 15 card bases (with all the layered pieces)
  • 15 envelopes (with patterned designs inside the flap)
  • Vellum flowers
  • Calypso Coral and Whisper White Baker’s Twine
  • Glue Dots
  • Stampin’ Dimensionals
  • 9-1/4″ x 9-1/4″ x 1-7/8″ printed cardboard box.

After reading the instructions, I placed all the elements in front of me to set a strategy for getting through all of these awesome card. Here’s a look at the layout:

Simply Citrus All-Inclusive Card Kit, Stampin Up!, Brian KingEarlier I said I followed the design steps outlined in the instructions – that’s mostly a true statement. This won’t surprise you, but I opted to leave the Calypso Coral and Whisper White Baker’s Twine off the cards – it’s lovely, but I didn’t feel like tying bows on my day off. 🙂

Here’s a look at the five designs I completed:

Because they are photopolymer stamps, it was easy to line them up over the images. When it didn’t line up, though, it still looked pretty cool (and you can always say it’s part of the design to have the outline offset from the image).

    Good morning, Brian!
Thank you for showcasing this set … I have the Simply Citrus kit and have enjoyed using it. The color palette is so bright and cheery (just what we need during the pandemic). And, as Sonny mentioned, the stamp set itself doesn’t just go with the “kit”. It’s a fun set for many other uses?
