Be Inspired by Sweet Ice Cream

It’s time for another Be Inspired Design Team Blog Hop – what fun! The Be Inspired Design Team is a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from all over the world who are excited to share our themed projects with you. I’m so honored to be a part of this group of talented stampers!

For today’s Be Inspired Blog Hop, we are doing something a little different, which means you are going to see A LOT of great inspiration along today’s hop. Today we are sharing Stampin’ Up! projects we’ve created based on another card we’ve shared – we are CASEing ourselves. How fun! If you aren’t starting the hop here, then you probably just popped over from the amazing project shared by my talented friend Carolynn Sander.

When we CASE (Copy and Share Everything or Copy and Selectively Edit), we find inspiration in a project – theme, color combinations, layout, products used – and create our own project by making changes to make it our own.  When CASEing, it’s important to give credit to the original designer – it doesn’t take away from your project at all.

I love a simple layout that allows me to share great papers, images and sentiments. I reached back into 2019 for a card I’ve wanted to CASE a couple of times. Let’s start with today’s project, which features several products from the Ice Cream Corner Suite in Stampin’ Up!’s upcoming January – June 2021 Mini Catalog. So happy to play with these new products! Here’s my card:

Sweet Ice Cream, Stampin Up!, Brian King

Here’s the card I CASE’d (you can click on the photo to see my original post for this project):

Itty Bitty Christmas, Wrapped in Plaid, Snow Globe Scenes, Stampin' Up!, Brian KingIt’s obvious that I CASED this layout, right? I fell in love with this layout and couldn’t wait to recreate it with new colors and new products. I’m always amazed at how the same card can look so different with a different stamp set and colors.

Here’s a look at the new Sweet Ice Cream Bundle, which includes the Sweet Ice Cream Photopolymer stamp set and Ice Cream Cone Builder Punch:

Sweet Ice Cream Bundle, Stampin Up! 156244

I love the watercolored effect of the ice creams and popsicles in this set – and don’t pass by the set without studying the wonderful, modern sentiments. “You’re so cool” might be a little corny, but it’s oh-so-cool on this card, don’t you think? It gave me exactly what I needed to CASE my original project:

Sweet Ice Cream, Stampin Up!, Brian KingAfter I stamped the Terracotta Tile ice cream scoop, I added Terracotta Tile sprinkles. I also added texture to the sugar cone with Cinnamon Cider ink. The Cinnamon Cider panel behind my ice cream cone doubles up on the waffle cone goodness. This paper is pulled from the Ice Cream Corner Designer Series Paper.  – here’s a sneak peek at all of the pages in this pack of papers:

There are some surprising colors in the Ice Cream Corner Designer Series Paper – I would have never expected to see Terracotta Tile represented as an ice cream color, but I love it so very much. I would never have imagined the color combination on my card without it, either. If you like this mix of Pool Party, Cinnamon Cider and Terracotta Tile as much as I do, I hope you will save this for future reference:

I’m so glad you stopped by and hope you like my project. I also hope you’ll continue the Be Inspired Design Team Blog Hop to see more projects that I’m sure you’ll love. The next stop is my friend Emma Goddard.
