Magic is in the Air with Giving Gifts Dies

My customers have started to receive their catalogs, and I’m LOVING the responses and feedback I’m receiving. There are so many goodies in Stampin’ Up!’s July-December 2021 Mini Catalog and August-September Sale-a-Bration brochure – I’m not surprised by the excitement. If you are my customer (or would like to be) and haven’t received a catalog, please email me here.

If you’ve quickly flipped through your new catalog, I’m going to guess that you overlooked the INCREDIBLE Giving Gifs Dies on page 61 of the catalog, part of the Time of Giving Bundle. My card features one of these amazing dies. Here’s my card:

Giving Gifts Tags, Christmas to Remember, Stampin Up!, Brian King

Tips, Tricks and Reminders

  • Time of Giving Bundle. The Time of Giving stamp set isn’t all that exciting until you see the incredible Giving Gifts Dies that coordinate with the set. Since the dies are so tiny in the catalog (again, on page 61), here’s a closer look: Time of Giving Bundle, Stampin Up! 156762The four vignette dies are designed to coordinate with the Tailor Made Tags Dies in Stampin’ Up!’s 2021 Annual Catalog. To crop the white tag on my card, I set the snowflake vignette inside the Tailor Made Tag and ran them both through my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine together. The image is cropped out (there’s no border around it). Here’s a closer look at the GORGEOUS cutout:  Giving Gifts Tags, Christmas to Remember, Stampin Up!, Brian KingYou can crop them out of any piece of cardstock, they work perfectly with the Tailor Made Tags Dies, one of eight unbundled dies in Stampin’ Up!’s 2021 Annual Catalog (you can see all of them here). Here’s a look at the the Tailor Made Tags Dies: Tailor Made Tags Dies, Stampin Up!, 155563My card features THREE cutouts of the same tag – once in white (along with the snowflake vignette), once with Misty Moonlight and once with Pool Party.
  • More New Things. There are several other new products showcased on this simple card – I want to point them out to you so you know where they come from (and you know where you can get them on August 3):
    • Christmas to Remember (#156806). The sentiment is found in the Christmas to Remember stamp set found on page 17 of the July-December 2021 Mini Catalog.
    • Seasonal Labels Dies (#156801). The sentiment is cropped with the Seasonal Labels Dies, also found on page 17 of the July-December 2021 Mini Catalog.
    • Pool Party 3/8″ Striped Grosgrain Ribbon (#156290). The ribbon at the top of the tag is a small piece of Pool Party 3/8″ Striped Grosgrain Ribbon found on page 31 of the July-December 2021 Mini Catalog. I LOVE the size and texture of this ribbon – and it was just the right color for my card.
    • Penguin Playmates Designer Series Paper (#158420). You know I love diagonal stripes, right? This pattern from the Penguin Playmates Designer Series Paper on page 4 of Stampin’ Up!’s new Sale-a-Bration brochure, might not showcase all of the adorable animals that are the focus of the papers, but the design gave me EXACTLY what I wanted for this card. Yay!
  • Blue Christmas. I love blue tones for the holidays. Pool Party is almost always a part of my colors for wintry, snowy cards, I was glad to have Misty Moonlight nearby this year. Together the mix of Basic White, Pool Party and Misty Moonlight is soft and light and beautiful. If you like this mix of colors as much as I do, I hope you’ll save this for future reference:Stampin Up! Color Inspiration - Basic White, Poll Party, Misty Moonlight

  1. I think this is a great card to send during the Xmas season ,but not an actual Merry Christmas card you plan to send later ! Love the tags and I have them on my list and you gave me a good idea of using two on a card !

  6. What a great card to CASE. The blues together with the whites layered in your card would make a magnificent male birthday card. You are so right about how easy it was to overlook the Time of Giving bundle. After giving it a second look once seeing your card it is now on the top of my “have to have” list. Love this card Brian.

  7. Yes in deed Brian, I totally overlooked these adorable dies! Thank you so much for bringing them to my attention. Loved the wonderful layering on your card.

  9. Very cool card! I had no idea these dies coordinated with the Tailor Made Dies; a plus for sure! The Giving Gifts dies I think, are perfect if one wants to make skinny cards, too. Love your colors, as always.

You are melting my heart with this! I was thinking very hard about this set and the tags set. I can see me using this idea for winter birthday cards too. Cards for senior citizens in January with “warm winter wishes” inside. I love that diagonal paper too. I am not a fan of the pool party so maybe I will try mint macaroon or the new succulent color or even a silver or the velvet paper. However, thanks for a COOL idea!
