A Closer Look at Pecan Pie

Today I’ll be finalizing my product shares offering – perfect timing since so many of my customers have started to receive their catalogs. Yay! I’ll send an email to those who’ve participated in my shares and those who’ve shown an interest in the past couple of weeks. They’ll go live on my blog tomorrow! ♥

Today I’m sharing a third post with fun color comparisons and color combinations for the new core colors. If you missed Lemon Lolly, you can see that post here. If you missed Bubble Bath, you can see that post here. Today, I’m taking a closer look at Pecan Pie, which appeals to my sweet tooth AND Southern roots. I hope you’ll check them all out!

New Core Colors

Last week, I shared the four new colors that have been added to Stampin’ Up! core colors in the upcoming 2023 Annual Catalog (these four beauties have bypassed the In Color path and have gone straight to the color families) as a part of Stampin’ Up!’s amazing Color Refresh. Here are the four new core colors:

Pecan Pie

Today I’m sharing a little more about Pecan Pie – first, let’s take another look at this new, delicious brown color that’s now a part of our Neutrals Core Colors:

2023 New Core Color - Pecan PieStampin’ Up! has named so many of its colors after foods (Crumb Cake, Pumpkin Pie and Granny Apple Green all make me hungry), but no color name will make my mouth water like Pecan Pie. Yum! Also, we need to be clear that the proper pronunciation of this Southern treat is “PEE-kan pahy” and not “pi-KAHN pahy” (there’s really no room for error there). Thank you for your attention to this important matter.

Here’s a comparison of Pecan Pie with two other familiar browns – Cinnamon Cider (a retired In Color) and Soft Suede (a former In Color that made its way into the Core Colors and retires at the end of the current catalog period):

I love the bronze-y appeal of this new color, and I know I’ll love working with it in the coming weeks, months and years.

3 Pecan Pie Color Combinations

Pecan Pie plays well with a wide variety of colors and colors in other color families. Here are three color combinations with Pecan Pie that show just how versatile it can be:

Stampin Up! Color Inspiration - Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Pecan Pie Stampin Up! Color Inspiration - Pecan Pie, Early Espresso, Misty Moonlight Stampin Up! Color Inspiration - Petal Pink, Calypso Coral, Pecan Pie

Pecan Pie is already one of my favorite colors – and I don’t even have it yet. I will be reaching for Pecan Pie a lot in the coming years. When you receive your Annual Catalog, you’ll see it all over the new book. I’m so happy to welcome Pecan Pie to the core colors!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Brian
