Let’s Eat Cake with Cake Fancy

I’ve been eying the Cake Fancy stamp set for quite some time, but I never added it to my shopping cart. When a friend recently ordered two, I made an easy swap with her to give her one of my sets she wanted. And that is how Cake Fancy came to live with me. And we all lived happily ever after. Thanks for stopping by!

I’m glad I could share that short story with you today – but I’m also happy to share a card I just made with this new-to-me stamp set:

Cake Fancy, Heartfelt Hexagon, Stampin Up!, Brian King

Cake Fancy, a photopolymer stamp set that’s new in Stampin’ Up!’s January-April 2024 Mini Catalog, allows us to build a multi-layered cake with a variety of toppings. The watercolored images can be mixed-and-matched to build a cake for any occasions. Here’s a look at Cake Fancy:

Cake Fancy, Stampin Up! 162932I added three flowers on top of my cake (stamped with Melon Mambo, Pumpkin Pie and Flirty Flamingo) and snipped out with paper snips. The trio of flowers added a bit more “fancy” to the card. Here’s a closer look:

As soon as the stamp set made its way into my craft room, I wanted to see if “Let’s Eat Cake” from Heartfelt Hexagon, another new photopolymer stamp set, would fit in the layers. I was THRILLED to see how well it fit! Here’s a look at the sentiment on my cake:

It’s a perfect pairing, don’t you think?! And here’s a look at the Heartfelt Hexagon stamp set:
