Brian’s Week in Review: November 10, 2024

Brian's Week in ReviewIt’s Sunday – and that means it’s time to take a look back at the past week in my Week in Review post. In today’s post, I want to share a quick rundown of the week (for those who don’t follow me every day) and a little extra background (for those who already tune in daily).

I’ve been focused on the brand new Online Exclusives this week – there are so many great, new products to share – but I’ve also been showcasing projects with products from the Holiday Mini Catalog.

A Couple of Personal Things

Stampin’ Up!’s fiscal year ends September 30 of each year. This past week demonstrators celebrated their 2023-2024 achievements, and I was honored to be a part of the group recognized. It takes a lot of work to maintain a balanced business (between sales, team building and leadership), and I do my best to keep all three in mind each year.

On top of ranking in the Top 100 this year, I was recognized in all three pillars of business and for earning the 2024 Incentive Trip. I would not be able to achieve these results without my incredible team members and customers. I appreciate each of you who has helped me out this year. You are so loved.

This weekend is a little different for me – we are dog-sitting. Maya, a friend’s poodle has come to stay with us in our home. My only stipulation was that she wasn’t allowed on the white rug in our living room. She wasn’t there for 4 minutes before she laid down in the dining room NEXT TO the rug), then made her way CLOSE TO the rug and then showed me she could be a good girl ON the rug.:

How beautiful is she? She’s been quite a joy to have around – puts a thought in my head that a dog might be nice to have around, but I’m not there yet. ♥

Let’s get back to the week in review…

Monday

On Monday, I gave you a look at the Online Exclusives products that launched the next day. You’d already seen many of them in the projects I’ve shared in the last month, but Monday’s post put them all together.

Online Exclusives - November 5 2024

There are two bundles in the new Online Exclusives offering – you can’t NOT pick up this one:

Tuesday

With Tuesday’s launch of the Online Exclusives, I shared a celebration card that’s fitting for the launch – it’s a delicious celebration and features on the the bundles in the new offering. Here’s the Cake Celebrations Bundle card I shared on Tuesday:

Cake Celebrations Bundle, Stampin Up!, Brian KingHow yummy is that cake?! If you’d like to read more about this project, including a closer look at the products I used to make it, CLICK HERE.

Wednesday

Wednesday’s post was dedicated to the two kits Stampin’ Up! introduces in November. Both kits are really fun – and both are unlike other kits. I’m really excited for my Nature’s Paintings Kit to arrive so I can play with the watercolor pencils and designs provided in the kit.

Nature's Paintings Kit, Stampin Up! 164982 If you want to check out this kit, which includes 8 watercolor pencils and 24 watercolor paper pages (2 each of 12 designs), CLICK HERE. If you’d like to check out my post about both of these kits, CLICK HERE.

Thursday

I was really excited when Thursday rolled around so I could share the Fall card I made with the Splendid Autumn 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper. This page of flowers has been on “my list” for a while – I was happy to actually put it into a beautiful card. Here’s the card I shared on Thursday:

Autumn Expressions Bundle, Stampin Up!, Brian King, Fall cardI love all of the warm, neutral tones in this design – it’s so beautiful to me (I can feel the cool, Autumn air in the design). In my post, I shared the measurements for the layers on this simple fun-fold card. Friday

On Friday, I launched my 2024 Holiday One-for-One Card Swap. Oh, joy! I’ve been hosting one-for-one card swaps for many years, and they are always great fun. If you’d like to participate (it’s always fun to receive a beautiful card from a stranger), click on the image below:

2024 Holiday One-for-One Card Swap, Brian King, Stampin Up!As long as your card arrives to me by Saturday, November 23 (that’s just 2 weeks away), you are in! I hope you’ll join us! ♥

Saturday

Saturday’s card was a fun mix of pinks and oranges (thanks to the Full of Life 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper) and featured a sentiment I’ve wanted to play with for a while. Here’s the card I shared with you yesterday:

Saying Hey, Full of Life Designer Series Paper, Humble Home Punch, Stampin Up!, Brian KingThe big arrow that points to the sentiment is the Humble House Punch (I just snipped off the chimney). I added packing tape to a piece of Melon Mambo cardstock before punching out the shape, giving it a shiny coat (faux embossing). You can see the shine on the arrow in my post.
