I hosted my monthly Zoom call with my Paper Pumpkin customers on Saturday. During our Pumpkin in the Fungeon call, I share some fun ideas with the items included in the monthly kit, and my customers share their brilliant ideas. I’m always impressed by what others are making and love to spend that time with my customers who participate. Always such fun!
March’s Daisy Daydream kit features a beautiful collection of flowers (you guessed it … daisies) that are perfect for Spring. I love the designs of the cards in the kit, but the individual elements are so much more fun. I couldn’t help but to make alternative projects with these products. Who doesn’t love to play?! Today I’m sharing two alternative cards I made with March’s kit. I was happy to share these cards during our Pumpkin in the Fungeon call – and I’m happy to share these with you today.
More About The Kit
The designed projects in March’s kit are really lovely. I’ll be honest – it took me a while to warm up to them, but I really grew to love them the more I played. Here’s a look at the finished projects (as designed) from March’s Paper Pumpkin Kit:
Alternative Projects
While I really like the kit’s cards as designed, I wanted to play with the contents of the kit to make something a little different. There are a lot of flowers on each of the cards in the kit. I pulled papers from outside of the kit and focused on a single flower for each of these cards:
Let’s take a closer look at each of these projects, shall we?
Happy Birthday
The cards (as designed) feature Lemon Lolly and Crushed Curry, but I knew I wanted to pair the sweet flower with the Daffodil Delight gingham panel from the Floral Delight Designer Series Paper. The card pulls all three yellows together (Lemon Lolly is brushed into the card base, the gingham is Daffodil Delight, and the flower center is Crushed Curry) in a simple design that showcases the flowers. Here’s a closer look at the first alternative project I made with this kit:
The tall, narrow panel at the center of the card frames the flowers and makes them the star of the card. And here’s a look at the colors and patterns in the Floral Delight Designer Series Paper, new in Stampin’ Up!’s Spring Mini Catalog:
The panel behind the gingham is a Lost Lagoon card base from the kit. I accented my card with Pool Party Adhesive-Backed Dots for Days – they weren’t an exact match but that seems to be a theme on this card, so I went with it.
Thank You
I was drawn to the green bokeh circle in the kit, so I wanted to showcase it on an alternative card. I reached for the Daffodil Delight page of the Beautiful Bokeh 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper, also new in Stampin’ Up!’s Spring 2025 Mini Catalog. Here’s a closer look at my alternative project:
The base of my card is 4-1/4″ x 8-1/2″ (scored at 4-1/4″). I snipped one of the flowers from the trio of punchouts in the kit and layered the green circle over the backside of another circle from the kit. Here’s a look at the colors and patterns in the Beautiful Bokeh 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper:
I accented my flower with Crushed Curry dots from the Adhesive-Backed Dots for Days. This card didn’t really feel alive until I added the trio of shiny dots.

Darling daisies! So fresh for spring and summer.
Thanks, Mary! The designed cards have SO MANY beautiful flowers on them – I thought it a challenge to isolate a few of them.
Two great alternatives using this beautiful kit. Your Zoom chat is always a lot of fun! Enjoy your day!
Thanks, Hilda! I always look forward to the Zoom calls – such a fun, talented group.
Brian . . . Happy 1st Day of Retirement! What’s for dinner?
Have a blessed day.
🙂 Thanks, Nancy! I crafted until late last night and slept in this morning while all the kits were delivered to the post office. We are having leftovers from a Thai dinner out last night. My food prep goals haven’t yet kicked in. 🙂
