Tucked away on page 97 of Stampin’ Up!’s 2025 Annual Catalog is a silhouette stamp set called Peaceful View. Based on its popularity with my customers and other demonstrators, I know I’m not the only one to find this gorgeous stamp set in the new catalog. How, then, has it taken me so long to ink it up? Today I’m excited to share one (of two) projects I have created with the Peaceful View stamp set. Here’s my card:
If you haven’t found this gorgeous stamp set yet, I warn you that you will soon find it … in your online shopping cart. 🙂 Here’s a look at the Peaceful View stamp set:
The silhouette of this tree, fence and tiny bird are beautiful when stamped alone, but there are many ways to showcase it. Here are a few:
- Add light color to Basic White cardstock with a Blending Brush and then stamp the silhouette with dark ink.
- Stamp the silhouette over a landscape Designer Series Paper.
- Stamp the silhouette over a patterned paper for a modern look.
- Heat emboss the silhouette image for a really dramatic look.
- Stamp the silhouette image and cut it out with paper snips. No…never mind…that doesn’t sound like a fun task.
To get a complete stamped image, I suggest you stamp with a Misti to allow you to stamp the image multiple times for additional intensity. Jan has made MANY gorgeous cards with this silhouette over landscape designs, and Cheryl stamped the silhouette on cardstock and added a horse silhouette to the forefront. I chose to stamp the silhouette on this pattern from the Full of Life 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper:
The colorful swipes are bright on the paper but look like a lovely, early evening sky. Here’s a look at all of the colors and patterns in the Full of Life 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper:
While black is a perfect color for a silhouette, I stamped this image with a juicy, new Secret Sky ink pad. Such a lovely richness. Here’s a closer look:
I searched my Designer Series Paper stash for a Pumpkin Pie design I could use to frame the scene. You wouldn’t expect to find a Halloween page on a “thinking of you” card, but a Pumpkin Pie page from the new Spooky Sweet Specialty Designer Series Paper gave me just what I wanted! Here’s a look at the patterns and colors in the Spooky Sweet Specialty Designer Series Paper:
I added a sentiment from Beautiful Motifs and framed it with a 1-1/4″ circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies. I added a twice-folded strand of ribbon from the Misty Moonlight & White 1/4″ Starter Ribbon Pack. Links to all of these products are provided in the product listing below.
Stamps: Peaceful View, Beautiful Motifs Papers: Full of Life 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper, Spooky Sweet Specialty Designer Series Paper, Thick Basic White Inks: Secret Sea Accessories: Stylish Shapes Dies, Misty Moonlight & White 1/4″ Starter Ribbon Pack, Stampin’ Dimensionals
I have a second Peaceful View card to share with you tomorrow, sharing another fun way to showcase this stamp set on a different patterned paper. I hope you’ll come back to check it out!
Thanks for stopping by today!

Hi Brian
What a great way to showcase that beautiful background stamp! I sure love my MISTI for background stamping for the reasons you mention. I’ve had this stamp on my wish list. I excited to see your next card!
Yay! You’ll love the stamp, Dawn! A beautiful image for quick-and-easy cards. ♥
Letting the stamp and DSP do the work certainly makes a beautiful card easy to get in the mail. Love it! I’m anxious to see tomorrow’s version. Enjoy your day!
Correct! I love to let the paper and stamps do the work. Always better for me. 🙂 Thanks, Hilda!
This has been on my list since I first saw it. Going to order it now for sure. Could
Be used for so many occasions. Thank you for giving us the push!
It’s definitely a versatile image. Both of my cards are “think of you” cards, but I’m intentionally refilling my stash of those types of cards, so… Thanks, Barbara!
Such a pretty and simple card with a big impact. And the “B” side of the Halloween paper is my “A” side, LOL.
It was PERFECT for this card – so happy to have it on the ready. 🙂 Thanks, Cindie!
What a beautiful scene with one stamp and DSP! Gorgeous!
I love the image – so peaceful. Thanks, Linda!
