Brian’s Week in Review: July 13, 2025

Brian's Week in ReviewWelcome to my Week in Review. Today I want to give you a quick rundown of the week (for those who don’t follow me every day) with a little extra background (for those who already tune in daily). But first I want to share something really, really sweet with you.

Aside from vacations to Disney and celebratory holidays, I’ve substantially removed sugar from my diet over the past year. Jeremiah’s day off this week became a “celebratory holiday” as we headed to midtown to have lunch at Ponce City Market (the old city hall that was turned into an incredible work-live-eat-shop facility). We were excited to explore new things! After the MOST AMAZING Cuban sandwich at El Super Pan (and I’ve enjoyed my share of Cuban sandwiches), we eyed all of the dessert-themed businesses in the food court. There were A LOT of options (cakes, donuts, ice cream and gelato), but we were sold the moment we saw the huge cookies at Shane’s Sweets.

Sugar Shane's cookie bagsI’m not a “take a picture of my food” guy, but I couldn’t help but to grab a photo of these cookies. Mine is a cookies ‘n cream cookie:

Sugar Shane's Cookies and Cream CookieAnd Jeremiah’s was a Betty White cookie (Golden Oreos, cookies ‘n cream and white chocolate chips):

Sugar Shane's Betty White cookie I am pretty sure Sugar Shane’s is a local baker. If you are ever in Atlanta, I’d be happy to meet you there for a “celebratory holiday.” 🙂

Let’s jump into the week…

Monday

On Monday I shared the thank you tags I made to accompany the Cheers & Sips Super-Awesome Fun Time Card Kits. I like to make a special tag for most projects – it’s a fun way to show my gratitude. Here’s the tag I shared on Monday:

Want to see more tags? In AprilI shared a collection of thank you tags Michelle has collected over the years. If you’d like to see that post, CLICK HERE.

Tuesday

On Tuesday I launched the online version of the Cheers & Sips Super-Awesome Fun Time Card Kit. Emma and I both agree that this was our favorite kit so far and that we had more fun with these than any others. We’ve LOVED so many of the kits, so that’s a pretty big statement.

The tutorial includes a written tutorial and video from Emma and me for eight cards designed exclusively for this tutorial. If you’d like to learn more about the kit and the online tutorial that’s available for download, CLICK HERE.

Wednesday

Wednesday was a BIG DAY that wasn’t originally part of my lineup for the week. On Monday Stampin’ Up! demonstrators learned that Stampin’ Up! would be launching a three-day sale of the two-tone cardstock. What fun! Not only would that change the lineup of my blog posts, but it changed my presentation to my InKing Royalty team call on Tuesday night. In the call, I shared five great techniques to showcase the two-tone cardstock.

I was happy to share parts of my team call presentation with you on Wednesday to launch the sale (which is now over). The information is still relevant, though, because you still need the cardstock…

Here’s one of the FIVE techniques I shared with how to use the two-tone cardstock:

Thursday

On Thursday, I launched a three-day run of swap cards I received during last month’s InKing Royalty Card Swap (eleven team members participated in the swap, and I couldn’t be happier to share each and every one of the swaps.

I shared four cards on Thursday. I do not have favorites (for obvious reasons) and love each card for the lovely designs and awesome people who sent them. Here’s one of the cards:

Friday

On Friday I shared five more cards from the Royal Swap. Again, an incredible lineup of cards from talented stampers. In the posts, I shared the products used and a bit of information about the projects. Here’s one of the cards I shared on Friday:

Saturday

On Saturday I wrapped up my share of the Royal Swaps with three fun fold cards (I gave you two photos of each to show you how they open up). All three of the cards are beautiful and amazing. Here’s one of the cards I shared on Saturday that was built with the Party Dies Bundle:

As I summarize last week’s content, I’m happy with what I was able to share – but I realize there are not a lot of projects by me. That will change in the coming week as I’ve been crafting a lot this weekend. ♥

Thanks for stopping by today!
