Last night I hosted my monthly Facebook call for my InKing Royalty team, and it was such a fun and productive evening. After reviewing current promotions and celebrating team accomplishments, I wrapped things up by creating five cute Valentine’s Day cards using the Love Notes 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper. Here are the five cards I made during the call:
To be clear, I didn’t walk everyone through every single step from scratch. I had pulled together several elements ahead of time and made color selections so we weren’t crafting for five hours. 🙂 That said, each card still came together easily, and I love how different they look while using the same paper pack.
I’ll be sharing a closer look at each card, but first let’s talk about the products and basic measurements used across all five designs.
The Love Notes 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper is filled with a mix of cute and romantic designs, along with built-in sentiments. Many of the designs are formatted on 3″ x 3″ squares, which gave me the perfect starting point for these cards. There are also coordinating full-pattern pages, which made it easy to create the background layers.
Here’s a look at the colors and patterns in the Love Notes 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper:
This is one of my favorite pages in the pack. The opposite side features the same images without words, giving you even more flexibility. You’ll spot all four of these designs (either front or back) across the five cards I’m sharing today.
Each card starts with a 4-1/4″ x 11″ cardstock base, scored at 5-1/2″. I added a 3-3/4″ x 5″ patterned panel and layered three squares measuring 3″, 2-7/8″, and 2-3/4″. Two of the cards feature stamped sentiments, while the remaining three use sentiments pulled directly from the Designer Series Paper.
Here’s a closer look at all five finished cards:
A few additional details you might find helpful:
- While the squares could be trimmed with a Paper Trimmer, I cut each 2-3/4″ square using the Joyful Squares Dies.
- The “to a fabulous friend” sentiment comes from the Fabulous Sayings stamp set.
- The “sending love” sentiment is from the Friendly Foliage stamp set.
- I decorated each of the cards with three Iridescent Pearl Basic Jewels.
Final Thoughts
These cards are a great reminder of how easy it is to create variety using a single pack of Designer Series Paper. With thoughtful layering and consistent measurements, you can mix and match designs while keeping the process simple and fun – especially when crafting with a group.
