You’re Amazing with Love Notes Designer Series Paper

Yesterday I shared five Valentine’s Day cards featuring two patterns from the Love Notes Designer Series Paper (you can see that post here). I thought I was done, but your kind comments and generous feedback (and customer orders!) inspired me to pull the papers back out and play one more time.

Here’s the card I’ve made to share with you today:

It’s rare that I create a card with no ink and no stamps, but this sweet design didn’t need either. All I used was the Love Notes 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper, my Paper Trimmer, and a pair of snips – proof that great paper really can do all the work for you.

Here’s a look at the fun patterns and cheerful colors included in the Love Notes 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper:

There are two Valentine-themed papers in the new Mini Catalog. While the Made with Love Designer Series Paper is currently unavailable (and scheduled to be back in stock sometime next week), the Love Notes 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper is still available at the time I’m writing this post – and it’s such a versatile pack.

These are the two pages I used to create the focal panel on my card:

The sentiment and the arrowed hearts are from the top, right corner of the above page.

The blue background panel on my card is pulled from the opposite side of the first page seen on the left side of the page immediately above. There’s a heart balloon floating in the background that you can’t even see on the finished card! ♥

Here’s a closer look at the focal panel – two 3″ x 1-1/2″ panels framed with Basic White and finished with a pair of hearts trimmed straight from the paper:

The three 1″ x 5″ panels behind the focal panel were cut from another page in the pack featuring a full background of red hearts. So fun. So easy.

To finish things off, I added a bit of shine with five Rhinestone Basic Jewels placed above and below the sentiment – a classic way to add just the right amount of pizzazz.

Last Thoughts

This card is a great reminder that you don’t always need stamps or ink to create something special. When you start with great Designer Series Paper, a clean layout and a few simple embellishments, the possibilities are endless.
