Be Inspired Blog Hop – Clean & Simple

It’s time for another Be Inspired Design Team Blog Hop – what fun! The Be Inspired Design Team is a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from all over the world who share themed projects each month. I’m so honored to be part of this talented group of stampers!

The theme for today’s hop is Clean & Simple. It’s clear that I absolutely love this theme. I love “clean and simple” even though I tend to design projects that are “clean and simple … but layered.” :). Thanks so much for hopping by – I know you’re going to love what the others share, too!

Spread Joy with Cute as a Bug

My clean and simple card today features three patterns from the Cute as a Bug Designer Series Paper and a sweet sentiment from the coordinating Sweet Bugs stamp set. I’ll admit – my card isn’t quite as “clean” as some of the others you’ll see in this hop, but it is simple… and definitely cute. And honestly, I’m totally okay with that. 🙂

Here’s my card:

This is the third day in a row I’m sharing cards made for the Royal Stamp & Chat call I hosted with my team last night. All of the projects were based on a single sketch, and for this card I simply turned the sketch on its side to give it a fresh feel.

Here’s the sketch we worked from:

Today’s card showcases three different pages from the Cute as a Bug Designer Series Paper. One of the panels comes from a cut-apart page in the pack – I cropped the diamond shape right from that design with the Stylish Shapes Dies. The adorable caterpillar is also paper-pieced from the designer paper using the Sweet Bugs Dies.

Here’s a look at the colors and patterns included in the must-have Cute as a Bug Designer Series Paper:

The sentiment is stamped with the Sweet Bugs stamp set, and the finishing touch is three Mossy Meadow dots from the Muted Palette Dots. Clean, simple, and oh-so-sweet.

Last Thoughts

The Cute as a Bug Suite is one of those collections that just makes you smile. Between the playful patterns, happy colors, and sweet images, it’s easy to create cards that feel lighthearted and fun. If you love simple layouts with a lot of personality, this paper pack is definitely worth a closer look.

Continue Hopping

I hope you’ll continue the Be Inspired Design Team Blog Hop to see more projects by my talented friends – I know you’ll love them. Emma Goddard is the next stop on the hop – and her card is the perfect definition of “clean and simple.” ♥
