Yesterday I shared a simple, fun Valentine’s Day card I made using a sketch I created for the Royal Stamp & Share call I hosted for my team members last week. If you missed that card, you can see it here. Today, I’m sharing another card made with the same sketch – and this time, we’re hopping straight to Easter.
Here’s my shiny, fun Easter card:
The bunny is super-cute (more on that in a minute), but the true foundation of this card is the shiny, colorful stripes from the Easter Joy Specialty Designer Series Paper. The mix of soft Spring colors paired with subtle shine makes these patterns such a standout.
Here’s a look at the patterns and colors in the Easter Joy Specialty Designer Series Paper:
If you’ve ordered this paper – either the full pack or through product shares – then you already know how special these pages are. Not only are the Spring designs filled with beautiful colors, but one side of each sheet features a foil treatment that adds shine and dimension. It can be tricky to see in product photos, so here’s a closer look at the corner of one of the panels:
The adorable bunny, his sweet carrot, and the sentiment are all from the Easter Basket Bundle – a cute, cute, cute collection of Easter goodies. The bundle is currently on backorder, but it’s expected to be back in stock next week. With Easter falling on April 5 this year, time is definitely tickin’.
Here’s a look at the Easter Basket Bundle:
I stamped my bunny on Basic White cardstock and colored his ear with a Pretty in Pink Stampin’ Blend. The carrot is also stamped on Basic White and colored with Peach Pie and Shy Shamrock Stampin’ Blends. Both images are cropped using the Easter Basket Dies and layered onto a Lemon Lolly circle cut with the Stylish Shapes Dies.
Here’s a closer look at those details:
To finish my card, I added three Shy Shamrock dots from the 2024-2026 In Color Flat Pearls. The pearls pull in the green from the card base and the carrot fronds, tying everything together just right.
Last Thoughts
Specialty papers like Easter Joy really do the heavy lifting in a design. Add a simple layout, a focal image you love, and a few finishing touches, and you’ve got a card that feels special without being complicated. This sketch continues to prove how versatile it can be – and I’m not done with it yet.
