I’ve been anxious to showcase the adorable images from the Pedal Pusher stamp set – one of the “new additions” to Sale-a-Bration as of February 15. The bicycle build for two is such an adorable image, but the items you can build on to the bike make it even more exciting. This week’s FabFriday sketch gave me the perfect opportunity to share this set with you. Here’s my card:

Tips, Tricks and Reminders
- Pedal Pusher. As we enjoy Spring weather in Atlanta, this stamp set really stands out. Not only are the sentiments wonderful (you know how much I love my words), but the build-a-bike feel is wonderful. Add a basket and put anything inside. Because the set is a photopolymer set, it’s super-easy to add lots of fun elements to this bike. What fun! - Coloring Fun. I stamped the bicycle, basket and flowers with Basic Black Archival ink. Since I didn’t want the images to be too dark or bold when I colored them, I used a Blender Pen to pick up the ink from my ink pad. This allowed me to add as much ink as I wanted to the images. The blue bike is really offset by the bright colors in the basket’s flowers. I created a fun video to showcase Three Ways to Use Blender Pens – you can see it here.
- Green Grass. The grass beneath the bicycle was stamped with Wild Wasabi ink using the tiny grass image from In the Meadow. At first, I thought I’d need to use my Stamp-a-Ma-Jig to get it all lined up perfectly, but that wasn’t the case. I just stamped the grass over and over to create a lovely texture beneath the bike.
- Fun Colors. I used Pretty Petals in yesterday’s project, so I had some of the paper sitting out when I sat down to make today’s card. I opted for this Pacific Point and Very Vanilla print – I know Pacific Point is well-loved, but I can probably count on one hand the number of times I’ve ever used it. Paired with Wild Wasabi, though, these colors really work wonderfully together. If you like this combination, too, feel free to save this:

I like Pacific Point and Wild Wasabi a lot (especially PP) .but I don`t use either one that much either . You have poked me to pull them out and do something with them this wkend.

Today’s card is so fun and colorful. I love that you don’t have the entire bike on the card. Your coloring is wonderful and makes the card really pop with the blue bike and bright flowers. Love this – such a bright and cheery card Brian with the Pacific Point blue! I think you might have missed a bit of the bicycle (the cross frame that runs between the chain) but I won’t tell 😉 I love how you chopped off the back wheel too – you are so not afraid!!
Joanne – you are 100% wrong – the cross frame on MY bicycle is made of glass, so you can see right through it. I’ll stick with that explanation. 🙂 Thanks for pointing it out – saves me from future humiliation. 🙂
