A Sweet Bunny with Basket Bunch

Let’s be honest – is there anything more adorable than the big-eared bunny from Stampin’ Up!’s Basket Bunch?  When I last shared this perky fella, my local club members swooned (you can see that post here) and you all agreed that he is adorable.  I couldn’t help but to use this sweet bunny for Linda Callahan’s sketch at Freshly Made Sketches this week.  How could I not?  Here’s my card:

And here’s the banner for Linda’s sketch challenge that inspired my card:

  • Basket Bunch.  If you are excited to make adorable, fun projects for Easter, then the Basket Bunch is for you!  What an adorable mix of sweet bunnies, bitty chicks and beautiful flowers.  There are peeps and chocolate bunnies and many, many eggs.  These Basket Builder Framelits Dies are perfectly paired with the stamps, and there are some great Thinlits in there, too.  The patch of grass has so many great uses, and the three eggs can be used for beautiful and sophisticated projects.  This set is super-flexible for either cute or beautiful projects.

  • Stamp and Crop & Color a Carrot.  While there is a Framelit that crops out the bunny and a Framelit that crops out the carrot, I only used the Framelit to crop the carrot.  Since the background of the base is white, there was no real need to crop the bunny.  Makes the carrot pop a little bit more, don’t you think?   Before I cropped the carrot, I inked the single image with Peekaboo Peach and Emerald Envy.  I simply painted on the stamp with Stampin’ Write Markers, huffed the stamp and then pressed the stamp on the Whisper White cardstock.
  • So Sweet.  The super-sweet panel of suns in a Peekaboo Peach background is from the Tasty Treats Specialty Designer Series Paper.  How sweet is it?  While Peekaboo Peach would normally be my first choice to color a carrot, the soft peach works perfectly here.  I paired the peach with Basic Gray for a bold and sweet combination.  If you like this combination, too, please save this:Stampin' Up!
