As Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators, we are challenged to live, love and share the joys of paper crafting. I don’t believe in a hard sell and never want my customers to feel pressured to buy anything they don’t want, but that doesn’t keep me from sharing all the things I love with the people I love. I’ve made wonderful friendships because of this craft and was excited to create a card for this week’s Global Design Project Theme Challenge – “Love It, Live It, Share It.” Here’s my card:
And here’s the banner for the challenge that inspired my card (this challenge goes live at 9am EST):
- Crafting Forever. When trying to capture the heart of paper crafting, the Crafting Forever stamp set is a must-have. As a presenter of Crafting Forever at the launch of last year’s catalog (when the set was first revealed), I was thrilled to be one of the first people in the world to receive this set last Spring. The sentiments are fun, and the images are perfection! Here’s a look at this stamp set:
If you’d like to see the projects I created for my presentation last year, CLICK HERE.
- Paper Dolls. Isn’t this a fun combination of sentiment and image – a sentiment that says “we are cut out to be friends” and a pair of paper dolls? I created these connected characters with the Cookie Cutter Builder Punch by folding a piece of Whisper White cardstock in half and punching the cookie shape, lining up the fold just inside the shape.
I added a Flirty Flamingo heart cutout from the Support Ribbon Framelits Dies. The heart covers up the fact that the two are connected, but I wanted to show that it’s still there. 🙂
- Color Combination. Pink and orange look great together. Pink and blue look great together. Blue and orange look good together. It makes sense, then, that all three would look great together, right? If you adore the combination of Flirty Flamingo, Grapefruit Grove and Pool Party as much as I do, please save this:
Stamp Sets: Crafting Forever Papers: Flirty Flamingo, Grapefruit Grove, Pool Party, Whisper White, Thick Whisper White Inks: Basic Black Accessories: Cookie Cutter Builder Punch, Support Ribbon Framelits Dies, Mini Stampin Dimensionals, Stampin’ Dimensionals
I hope you’ll pop over to the Global Design Project site to see the cards by the design team members and to play along with this week’s challenge. This challenge goes live at 9am EST.
Thanks for stopping by today!
Brian

Good Morning Brian, Yes this is a great card. I am so glad to be a part of this SU community. I will never forget you were having a card swap and encouraged me to participate. That was it!
Have a blessed Monday.
🙂
What a sweet message, Nancy! I’m so glad to be a part of this community with you. Thanks for your support and your friendship. Glad you like this card. <3
Brian, you were one of the first blogs I came across when I first started stamping. Thanks for the friendship and all the inspiration! Such a cute card.
Really!? I had no idea, Dawn! I’m so happy to know you – I appreciate your kind words. <3
Would you believe I was looking at my Crafting Forever set just about thirty minutes ago ? I was thinking I wanted to use it this week and I did not think as creatively as you and reach for my Gingerbread Man punch ! Your card is PRECIOUS !! It should win the SWEETIE AWARD this week !
Thanks so much, Sonny! I’m so glad you like this card. I’d like to accept this Sweetie Award on behalf of my wonderful friend, Sonny. 🙂
Ohh!! how very sweet!!! I’m so happy that, through this wonderful hobby and craft, I’ve made so many wonderful friends all around the world and, even if I haven’t met them in person, I feel a warm and beautiful connection with all of them.
It’s amazing what a bit of paper and ink can do to get all of us closer, even if we’re separated by hundreds and thousands of miles.
I agree with my sweet pal Sonny, I vote YES for the SWEETIE AWARD!!!!!
XO
Maria.
Thanks so much, Maria! I’m so happy to know you through this wonderful hobby! <3 Thanks for your kind comments.
You never cease to amaze me… using that punch to make paper dolls! Darling card.
Thanks so much, Dianne! <3 I'm glad you like it.
SO clever!
Thanks, Judy! <3
I love this adorable card, Brian. I agree on the Sweetie Award for you! I have also many friendships across the globe from crafting, thanks to the internet. Enjoy your day!
🙂 Thanks so much, HJ! It sounds like I’m going to sweep the Sweetie Awards this year. <3
This is off the chain in terms of clever. I love the “paper dolls” and such yummy colors!
Thanks so much, Mary! <3
Brian, this is one of those thing I said “how’d he do that”, thanks for sharing the details. Super smart idea! I too love this Stamp set, and your card makes me so glad I have it in my inventory. Looking forward to casing this card.
Yay! I love to wow, Katrina. So glad you like the card – you have apply extra pressure with Whisper White, but I bet it would be easier with DSP. Have fun with it! <3
Hi Brian:
I had hesitated when I bought this Cookie Cutter Builder punch but I have to tell you that I have used it 10 times more then I thought I would. If you turn the cut outs upside down they become deer heads for Christmas cards. If you turn them upside down and cut off the legs you have a puppy or a bunny. About the only holiday I haven’t used it for is the 4th of July and I’m working on that one. LOL What a fabulous card today. Perfect for International friendship day. I LOVE it.
What great ideas for using this punch, Grace! <3 It's a versatile punch. Glad you like my card. <3
Brilliant idea for the doll cut-outs
🙂 Thanks so much, Jackie! Glad you like it.
What a fun card! Great colors too!! A very creative interpretation of the challenge.
Thanks so much, Sharon! I appreciate your kind words. <3
Simply lovely!
<3 Thanks, Liz!
Oh what fun! I had the cookie cutter set out as well as the crafty one yesterday trying to decide on what to do. I put them back and ended up coloring some flowers that were in the Happy kit from last year that has carried over. I used to play with the paper dolls but confine that to paper snowflakes now! Love this fun card. Maybe I will make one similar and make a background or border with the scissors, pens and better yet all the fun images in the set!
Yay! Thanks so much for your comments, Chris! I appreciate it! <3
Love this card, very clever, also great colour combo
Thanks so much, Linda! I’m so glad you like it. These colors make me happy. 🙂
Cuteness overload her! Adorable card and oh so clever!
Thanks, Linda! <3 It's a fun challenge and a fun card to make. <3
I don’t think that I’ve ever seen a better card showing a “connection” between the message and the images. And you seem to do it so effortlessly. This is absolutely awesome!
Wow! Thanks so much, Kathy! I am so glad you like it. I was happy to get another use out of this fun sentiment. Thanks for your comments. <3
Sweet card! Love the paper dolls and the colors are so nice together (nicer if in purple but not bad)…hahaha!
Ha! Thanks so much, Windy! I tried to add purple, but I just couldn’t find a place for it. <3
I’m sorry! This is just adorable! What a great use of that punch! This is very clever.
Thanks so much, Rachael! I’m so happy you like it. Thanks for your kind comments! <3
I am always mightily impressed when you combine elements from different sets in your designs. This card has to be the penultimate example of your genius at this. And what a cutie!
Awww…thanks so much, Susan! I’m so glad you like it and am grateful for your kind comments. <3
That’s the cutest darn thing I’ve seen! What an amazing idea to make paper dolls with the cookie cutter punch. You never cease to amaze me with your creativity!
Thanks so much, Nina! I was happy to make it and very happy that you like it so much. <3 Thanks for all of your kind comments.
Absolutely adorable, I love it and I will be CASE’ing it. Super job Brian, I love your creativity.
Thanks so much, Robbye! Happy to share and can’t wait to see what you make. <3
