SNEAK PEEK: Kindness with Peaceful Poppies

I love the change of seasons when we get to shift our designs and play with new palettes of color. We are [obviously] not through with Winter, but Spring colors are starting to look so appealing. I couldn’t wait to play with some new products from Stampin’ Up!’s January-June 2020 Mini Catalog (partly because of the colors), and I’m excited to share a project with you today. BONUS: Despite the floral pattern, the color combination of red, green and blue straddles the fence between Spring and Christmas. ♥  Here’s my card:

Dressed to Impress Bundle, Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper, Stampin' Up!, Brian KingPoppies are a huge part of the January – June 2020 Mini Catalog – so much so that there are TWO poppy bundles in the catalog and at least one poppy on the front cover of the catalog. Can you find a poppy on the cover of the catalog?

  • Peaceful Poppies. For such a small piece of Designer Series Paper, the small floral piece behind my sentiment sure does pack a punch – I guess you could say that a punch of Peaceful Poppies has been perfectly packed.  I love these poppies so very much. Here’s a look at the colors and patterns in the Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper:Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper, Stampin' Up! 151324The Peaceful Poppies Suite includes TWO poppy-themed bundles that beautifully coordinate with one another. I LOVE THAT! Here are some more samples that showcase this Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper and the two bundles in the suite:Peaceful Poppies Catalog Samples, Stampin' Up!
  • Dressed to Impress Bundle. I absolutely adore the sentiment on my card “Kindness is always in style.” Such an important sentiment. While the sentiment pairs perfectly with the field of flowers behind it, it is originally designed to coordinate with a bundle called Dressed to Impress that’s themed around women’s fashion. The stamp set features lipstick, a perfume bottle, lipstick, a high-heel shoe and flowers. The coordinating dies can be used to cut out many of these images and to build a purse, bag or backpack. • Bright Color Combination. My card took on several looks before I arrived at the color-blocked look I finished with. The mix of colors works well to balance out the colors in the Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper and support the simple sentiment. If you like this mix of Pool Party, Poppy Parade and Old Olive, please save this for future reference: Stampin' Up! Color Inspiration - Pool Party, Poppy Parade, Old OliveI didn’t have to look too far for another project that showcased these three colors – I used it last month with this sympathy card that showcases the Christmas Rose stamp set (you can click on the picture below if you want to see my original post for this project): Christmas Rose, Woven Heirlooms, Stampin' Up!, sympathy card

My projects over the next couple of weeks aren’t going to be ALL Spring-themed (I still have a lot of Christmas in me), but it’s fun to share some of the new products I have.
