Brian’s Week in Review: May 4, 2025

Brian's Week in Review

Today is Sunday – and that means it’s time to take a look back at the past week in my Week in Review post. I want to share a quick rundown of the week (for those who don’t follow me every day) with a little extra background (for those who already tune in daily), but I first have a fun photo to share with you from the past week. I also have some added extras peppered into my recap of last week.

Oh, deer!

While I was sitting at my desk in the Fungeon on Thursday, I felt like someone was looking at me. I slowly turned to see a mama deer just outside the door. I quietly and slowly reached for my phone to capture this picture:

mama deer outside the FungeonHer babies came shortly after and also stared at me (like a deer in headlights…), but I wasn’t able to grab a picture of them. The glass panel in the door shows a reflection of the shelving in the Fungeon behind me (those supplies are not housed under the deck outside the door).

Monday

I was really wowed by April’s Inked Occasions Paper Pumpkin Kit. The inked designs are soft and sweet, and the coordinating sentiments are INCREDIBLE! On Monday, I gave you a quick summary of the April kit and showed you the beautiful as-designed projects. I also shared two alternative projects I made with elements of the kit.

Tuesday

On Tuesday I shared two gatefold cards I made with a single card base from the kit. How GORGEOUS is this sentiment?!

Bonus Paper Pumpkin Alternative – As soon as I saw the inky wonderfulness of these papers, I wanted to make create a sentiment using the eclipse technique. The word “hugs” appears often times in the kit, so it was an easy word to showcase. Here’s another card I made with the elements of this kit:

Wednesday

On Wednesday I shared a card I made for the Be Inspired Design Team Blog Hop. The theme was “Spring” so I reached for some of my favorite flower sets – the new Gallery Blooms stamp set and the gorgeous Mixed Media Florals Designer Series Paper. Here’s the card I shared in Wednesday’s blog hop:

Thursday

I continued my trend of working with flowers for the project I made to share on Thursday. I started with Bubble Bath flowers and mixed in a little Fresh Freesia to tie in with the Fresh Freesia background paper. Here’s the card I shared on Thursday:

Thankful Garden Bundle, Stampin' Up!, Brian King, thank you cardWhile the set is designed with decorative masks, I colored these flowers with a mix of Stampin’ Blends. If you’d like to read more about this project or take a closer look at the products, CLICK HERE.

Friday

With Stampin’ Up!’s catalog launch next week and several current promotions going on right now, I took a break from all of the creativity to share a quick recap of the amazing promotions, perks and upcoming events.

Friday marked the launch of Stampin’ Up!’s 2x Rewards promotion, giving twice the Stampin’ Rewards for all purchases over two days. The promotion is now over, but here’s a look at some of the other things I chatted with you about in the post:

  • The benefits of the New Rewards Program
  • A nudge to sign up for my product shares and In Color Bundles
  • A heads-up that I’ll be hosting an Online class with the Sunshine Vibes stamp set. More on that later.

Saturday

Good news! The Everyday Arches dies are back in stock after a brief absence – so I couldn’t wait to play with them to make the project I shared with you on Saturday. Here’s a look at my Everyday Arches and Arched Wishes birthday card:
