Welcome to my Week in Review. Today I want to give you a quick rundown of the week (for those who don’t follow me every day) with a little extra background (for those who already tune in daily). Before we jump in, here are some personal tidbits from the past week…
Mom has continued to dominate the Stamp with Brian headlines this week. While I am sharing recaps of each of the days, I also have some new things to share – like a look at the puzzle we finished the morning Mom left to go back home. I know you’ve been waiting for that…and there’s a twist you weren’t expecting…
First, “Mom-adjacent” story…at the beginning of Summer, Mom gave us a hibiscus plant that we immediately planted on the back porch – the light and heat is perfect there for the tropical flower. While the plant gives us one flower on one day, it can give us five flowers on another. Here’s a quick photo of one of the blooms we got to enjoy while Mom was here (taken just after a short rain):
Gorgeous, right? Let’s jump into the week…
Monday
On Monday I played with polka dots for a fun, festive card. I combined the polka dots in the Stripes & Dots stamp set with the polka dotted gift box in the Encircled with Love stamp set to make this card:
These new stamp sets are really, really fun and I enjoy playing with them to make this card. If you’d like to read more about this project and see the products I used to make it, CLICK HERE.
Tuesday
Mom left to go back home on Monday, so Tuesday I shared a long video she made to share her two-week trip to Atlanta with you. She shared a bunch of kits she assembled and introduced you to a card project she was working on. If you want to see her video, CLICK HERE.
One of the “big events” Mom shared was the puzzle we worked on for the entire two weeks she was here. It’s wasn’t quite finished when we filmed her video on Sunday night, but we DID finish it before she left. Here’s the finished puzzle:
Fun, right? If you look really, really close, though, you’ll see that the puzzle is missing a single piece:
We don’t know what happened to this piece, and it hasn’t shown up. Yet.
Wednesday
Wednesday was the Be Inspired Blog Hop that featured Fun Techniques or Top Tips. I showcased the Emboss Resist technique (among others) on the card I shared for the hop:

Thursday
In Mom’s video on Tuesday, I shared a project she had been working on to make a collection of cards to have on-hand for a variety of occasions. On Thursday, I gave you a closer look at Mom’s cards, including measurements for the layers and how Mom is prepared for any occasion as the need arises. Here’s a look at two of the cards she made:
The sentiments are not yet attached to the card bases – that way, she can have a birthday card or a thank you card or a thinking of you card when needed. How cool?! To read more, CLICK HERE.
Friday
On Friday, I played along with this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge (it’s a good one!) to make this card with the Celebratory Sips Designer Series Paper:

Saturday
I received several messages last week, asking if I would be hosting product shares with the upcoming Online Exclusives. Because I have no sense of time (…), I thought I had more than a week before July would arrive. Nope! The Online Exclusives go live THIS TUESDAY, so I launched my Product Shares yesterday.
There are some really great papers, ribbons and embellishments in the release, and I hope you’ll give them a look.
I’d love to include you in my product shares (including Designer Series Paper Swatch Books). To learn more and sign up, CLICK HERE.
I’ll have so many fun things to share with you in the coming week – including Tuesday’s launch of the Online Exclusives. They are wonderful, and you’ll want to check them out.
But I’m also going to be sharing some incredible swap cards created by some team members during my InKing Royalty Team’s Card Swap. ♥
Thanks for stopping by today!

Hi Brian
Always enjoy your week in review! Geez where is that missing puzzle piece 🧩? Maybe it was never in the box? It will show up if it was meant to be! Glad you got to spend quality time with your Mom and that she has several at the ready cards!
Have a great week ahead!
Funny story – Mom and I were downstairs crafting one afternoon, and she held her arm up to show me a puzzle piece that had been stuck to her arm for at least an arm. We had gone outside and downstairs and in a completely different part of the house for that hour when she found that piece. No telling if that lost piece jumped off the ride while she was outside. One day…one day it will show up. 🙂
I’m glad to see the Golden part of the puzzle is finished! Ripp barks his approval as well, and is now barking for treats. (the never ending story of life with a Golden)
Looking forward to the online exclusives of July!!!
🙂 Thanks, Cindie! We had loads of fun with it. Please tell Ripp “hi” for me. ♥
I was inspired by the simple, yet eye catching cards your mom made. I just received a box of pears from my mom for my birthday and decided to CASE Mary’s cards. I used the pear print from the Fruit Salad DSP (SAB ’25) to make a thank you card for my mom. It goes in the mail tomorrow. Thanks for sharing the measurements and great ideas!
