Welcome to my Week in Review! Today I want to give you a quick rundown of the week (for those who don’t follow me every day) with a little extra background (for those who already tune in daily). But first, here’s a peek at my week behind the scenes…
Between miscellaneous appointments and working around home contractors, I’ve been busy packing kits (they’ll be in the mail tomorrow!) and preparing for product shares (released this week – don’t forget to sign up!).
In last Sunday’s wrap-up, I mentioned I was working on a puzzle. Well, I wrapped it up Sunday evening, and here’s a look:
I don’t mean to brag, but I breezed through this one. I started with the sides and the words (easy enough to pick out of the pile). Once those were done, I just pulled random pieces from the box and popped them in place. “This one is Biscayne.” “This one is Badlands.” Nothing like the dog puzzle Mom and I tackled together!
Any tips for finishing a puzzle without ending up with a back ache? Asking for a friend…
Here’s an infinity shot of the finished puzzle:
I won’t bore you with the rest of the week’s events. You’re welcome! ♥
Now, enough about me – let’s jump into the week…
Monday
On Monday I shared a fun Halloween card I created with the Fright Night Bundle along with some products that weren’t specifically designed for Halloween. Here’s the card I shared:
The little details can make all the difference, Brian… I wrapped three strands of black twine around the card panel and tied them under the label – but when I went back to prepare this post, I noticed the twine on the left side had shifted. How did I not see that on Monday?! The top strand just needs a tiny nudge upward – tricky little thing!

Tuesday
On Tuesday I shared a card I made while packing the Charming Day Super-Awesome Fun Time Card Kits. The more I worked with these kits, the more I fell in love with the coordinating Floral Charm Designer Series Papers. Honestly, what’s not to love about these pages?! Here’s the card I shared:
Bonus! I adore everything about how this card came together—the panels, the layers, the sentiment. In the post, I described how I tucked Gold Weave Trim behind the sentiment so the folded ribbon peeks out on both sides. I actually snapped a quick photo of the process (and forgot to add it to the original post):
To create this look, I folded the ends of the trim to meet in the middle (hidden behind the sentiment), added Tear & Tape to the back and then adhered it to the card front. I used Stampin’ Dimensionals over the tape to pop up the sentiment and showcase that little “nest” of gold trim.

Wednesday
On Wednesday I shared a sneak peek at a trio of notecard-sized cards I created with the Festive Friends Bundle, coming soon in the Online Exclusives launch on September 3. I partially colored and assembled these cards during my InKing Royalty team call the night before. The “squatty, squished” characters just make me SO HAPPY! Here’s a look at what I shared:

Saturday
On Saturday I circled back to flowers—because I think they’re winning me over! I had another post planned, but this card was in my head and I couldn’t resist making it:
I really love the new In Colors, so pairing Cloud Cover with Secret Sea was an easy choice. Could I have added more color to the flowers? Yes. Could I have tucked twine behind the sentiment? Yes. Was I happy with it as-is? Absolutely.

I’m so happy to share these projects and ideas with you. I’ll have more to share next week – I hope you’ll come back every day to see what I’m sharing. ♥

Great cards this week! The Festive Friends guys are so cute. I love that you’re doing puzzles these days. I am a puzzleholic and if I start one nothing else gets done until it’s finished! I see you’ve got the cool puzzle table — I love mine. My only suggestion for back pain is stretching and Advil!
Thanks for the advice, Barbara! 🙂 I started puzzles as a way to test my patience. I’ve been really good at (mostly) working late at night when it cuts into my sleep and not my daily activities. When I’m working on a puzzle, though, it’s on my mind ALL DAY.
Ah, the bonus content. So THAT’S how you made the gold trim fluffy. And Saturday’s card was perfect as is!
Thank you so much, Cindie! I was sad to see that trim on the Last Chance sale – happy I could give it one last go before it’s gone. Glad you like the bonus content. 🙂
Love the puzzle! Looking at it reminds of all the places we traveled to in our RV. So glad to have those memories. Thanks for bringing them back.
Ready to start another puzzle?
I’m giving puzzles a break (maybe a week) before I embark on a new adventure. Our national parks are so beloved. I’ve only visited a few. Glad you have great memories of them. ♥
