Brian’s Week in Review: November 9, 2025

Brian's Week in ReviewWelcome to my Week in Review! Each Sunday, I like to share a quick recap for those who don’t follow along every day—and a little extra behind-the-scenes for those who do. You don’t want to miss these extras! ♥

A Personal Thank You

Stampin’ Up!’s fiscal year ends September 30 of each year. This past week demonstrators celebrated their 2024-2025 achievements, and I was honored to be a part of the group recognized. It takes a lot of work to maintain a balanced business (between sales, team building and leadership), and I do my best to keep all three in mind each year.

Brian King, 2025 Results

On top of ranking in the Top 50 of U.S. demonstrators this year, I was recognized in all three pillars of business and for earning the 2025 Incentive Trip. I would not be able to achieve these results without my incredible team members and customers. While it’s lovely to be recognized for these accomplishments, the recognition is not what keeps me going. I appreciate each of you who has helped me out this year. You are so loved.

Traditions of Christmas Back in Stock

I shared this information yesterday, but I really, really want to make sure you know about it. After several weeks on the “Currently Unavailable” list, the very popular and highly in-demand Traditions of Christmas Specialty Designer Series Paper is back in stock. How exciting! It’s PERFECT for your Christmas cards, and the remainders can be used throughout the year for non-holiday projects. Here’s a look at this gorgeous Specialty Designer Series Paper:

Enough about me and this gorgeous paper. Let’s get back to the week in review. Here’s a look at the projects I shared with you this week (don’t miss the bonus add-ins!) …

Monday

On Monday I shared a card I made with some exciting, new products from the Online Exclusives launch. The Friendly Foliage Bundle was one of the first items I fell in love with in the new offering, so I was excited to make and share this card:

Friendly Foliage Bundle, Lasting Linen, Stampin' Up!, Brian King, Get Well Soon cardI love that the centerpiece with the green leaves is one piece. It all cut out so beautifully. I shared a look at the coordinating dies in Monday’s post.

And don’t miss the Lovely Linen background stamp! It’s GORGEOUS – and you’ll be seeing more from me with that stamp in the near future.

Bonus: I love any mix of blues and greens. The mix of Shaded Spruce, Secret Sea and Basic Beige works so well on this card. There’s also some Pretty Peacock mixed in (which blends blue and green), but this is the standout trio on this project:

Tuesday

With the launch of the new Online Exclusives on Tuesday, I shared a look at the two new Suite Collections, along with my favorite bundles and other products in the new offering. If you’d like to see all of the items in a printable/savable .pdf, click on the image below:

I also gave you a look at the two new kits that were released on Tuesday – and they are wonderful! ♥

Wednesday

On Wednesday, I shared a card that had been a week in the making. Loads of shine and a gorgeous die cut out from the Words of Beauty Dies called for the perfect sentiment – and I wasn’t sure what it would be. “Because I appreciate you” fit perfectly across the landscape and allowed me to play with my new Words of Beauty Bundle.

AND it all works so wonderfully with the Peaceful Garden Designer Series Paper.

Thursday

The new Online Exclusives were still my focus when I made the project I shared with you on Thursday – and there’s a fun technique you don’t wan to miss! Here’s the card I shared with you on Thursday:

Creative Haven, Brushed with Beauty Designer Series Paper, Petals of Beauty Dies, Stampin' Up!, Brian KingIn my post on Thursday, I shared a closer look at this GORGEOUS Designer Series Paper and shared how I applied a layer of tissue paper to the pattern for additional texture.

Bonus: I received a couple of questions about how I lined up the strips on my card, so here’s how I do that: I positioned the layers how I wanted them on the Mossy Meadow base and then carefully placed a strip of Post-It Note Tape across the strips. Once secured on the strip, I flipped it over, added glue to the backside and then positioned them over the base. Expert tips: (1) Use an extra long strip of the tape so you can hold the ends to position your strips on the card and (2) generously apply Multipurpose Liquid Glue so you have room to move the panels around immediately after placing them.

Friday

I was so excited to share so many new projects with products that were released on Tuesday that I forgot to share a closer look at the new papers in the release. On Friday, I gave you a closer look, including my favorite page from each and three color combinations I love using only the colors in the papers.

Here’s my favorite color combination from the six I shared on Friday:

Stampin' Up! Color Inspiration - Darling Duckling, Calypso Coral, Secret SeaBonus commentary: I always love to mix colors from different color families – a rich yellow, a soft orange and a neutral blue. Does it get any better than that!?! These colors clash with each other in a way that works really well, don’t you think?!

Saturday

What do I do when I am really, really behind? I decide to make TWO cards instead of just one. Ha! I don’t know why I do this to myself. 🙂 Here are the two cards I made to share with you yesterday:

Traditions of Christmas Specialty Designer Series Paper, one card two ways, Stampin' Up!, Brian KingI love the versatility of this paper – the flowers, blue circle and green band can be used for Christmas and beyond!
