Spring One-for-One Card Swap

Yipee Doodle Dee!  I’m happy to announce the first One-for-One card swap on 2014!  If you have never participated in one of my card swaps before, now’s your chance.  You don’t have to make 20 cards or 10 cards or even 5 cards.  You just make one card and mail it to me.  In return, you’ll soon receive another card in the mail.  You won’t be disappointed.

Here’s how it works:

You mail the following to me:

  • a handmade card (a standard 5-1/2″ x 4-1/4″ card) designed by YOU. Please make every effort to use products from the current Stampin’ Up! catalogs.
  • a self-addressed, stamped envelope (just fold one in half and include it with your card).
  • a little information for me if you want to share: your name, your email address, your level of interest in stamping (are you a light hobbyist, a serious hobbyist or a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator?), and your website address (if you have one). I will share your name and city/state on my blog and with the person who receives your card. The other information WILL NOT be shared with anyone else.

Please don’t write on the inside of your card so that the recipient can use it (if they choose to).  I will gather the cards I receive and will mix them up and mail them out so that everyone who sent me a card will receive a card in return. As long as I receive a card from you by the deadline, you will receive another card in return.  Oh, glorious day!

I must limit participation to two cards per person (if you choose to make more than one).   It just makes it easier for me to sort through them and distribute them back out.  Thanks for understanding.  Also, please make sure you include a return envelope for each card you send.

Mail your card and return envelope to:

Brian King

1758 Colt Drive

Atlanta, GA 30341

Please mail them as soon as you can – but make sure they arrive by Friday, April 18 – that’s THREE weeks.   That’s when I will sort them and then mail them out. I will also include photos of the cards on my blog (giving proper credit to the creator, of course).

Who’s in? Email me if you have any questions. [email protected]

To celebrate the Spring One-for-One Card Swap, I’m sharing a handful of my favorite Spring cards from the past two years.  Woo hoo!  You can click on the pictures to see the original post.

Funny that most of the cards I selected are NOT standard-sized cards.  As such, these are not good cards for my swap, but please let them inspire you.  🙂

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!

Brian

Speaking of Spring fun … Look what came in the mail yesterday.  Woo hoo!  You can’t beat an all-expense-paid Caribbean cruise for two!  Thank you, Stampin’ Up!

Also, congratulations on winning that trip, you so totally deserve it!!!!!

  3. The “Flower Shop” Card is how I found you on the internet Brian. I made two of them last spring and it is my all-time favorite card. I gave one to my grandmother on her 98th birthday this past October and she LOVED it. (She passed away a week later) : ( I still have the other one, I can’t seem to part with it! Thanks for the inspiration.

  4. Yay for Brian ! You won a cruise ….what fun ! Enjoyed seeing a card review also . Plus a Card Swap coming up ….what a WOWIE Wednesday !

  5. Oh, how nice Brian. I’m very excited bout another swap! Thanks a bunch. 🙂

  6. Congrats on your Caribbean Cruise! Great cards! I enjoyed seeing them all again! 🙂

  7. How do you decorate the vases in the card that’s 3rd one down, matching the designer paper?

    • Sandra, I stamped the vases on the card front and on a piece of Designer Series Paper. I snipped out the vases from the Designer Series Paper and glued them down on top of the card front. I layered the same paper behind the card to give the illusion that the vases might be cut out of the base.

  8. congrats on earning the cruise! That is a huge accomplishment! Enjoy!

  9. Kudos to YOU on your accomplishments that earned you the upcoming Caribbean trip!! And thanks for organizing another swap.

  10. So Brian, you’re taking me on the cruise with you right? LOL Just kidding. SU certainly knows how to treat their people and, since you are one of their best, you deserve it. I too enjoyed the “parade” of spring cards and choosing to put them on the blog on a windy, cold, overcast day with snow on the way certainly lifted everyone’s spirits for sure. Thanks.

  12. Parade of cards always a great way for inspiration and memory lane. Hopefully I can come up with something for the swap. I haven’t missed one yet. How exciting to receive your official cruise package. So thrilled for you!

  31. Hi Brian, I was wondering if we are stamping our name on the back of the card we send if we have a stamp or do we not stamp our name and just write everything on a post it note?
