Christmas Tags in a Snap

As I was about to drop Holiday Catalogs in the mail to my awesome customers, I decided to make a quick-and-easy tag to adorn the front of each book. With just a couple of punches, a little bit of gluing, some stamping and a handful of autographs, I made this sweet tag:

Gleaming Ornaments Punch Pack, Pine Tree Punch, Country Home, Stampin' Up!, Brian King, Christmas Tag

Rhinestone Finger: (n) the physical suffering or distress to the end of one’s pointer finger caused by affixing a bunch of rhinestones to a project. Her projects were cute and blingy, but only ice cream could help her forget about her rhinestone finger.

Here’s what it looks like when you make lots of these tags (you know I love a good infinity shot when I make multiples of something):

Tips, Tricks and Reminders

  • Three Punches. My project features three punches – two from the Holiday Catalog and one from the Annual Catalog. Because the two in the Holiday Catalog are part of a bundle, I’ll show you the coordinating stamp set for each. Here’s a look at the Christmas Gleaming Bundle, which includes Christmas Gleaming stamp set and Gleaming Ornaments Punch Pack:Christmas Gleaming Bundle, Stampin' Up! 153006The Christmas Pine Punch is part of the Perfectly Plaid Bundle, which also includes the Perfectly Plaid stamp set. Here’s a look:Perfectly Plaid Bundle, Stampin' Up!, 151143I love my circle punches. The 2-1/4″ Circle Punch came in handy here – gave me the perfect base for the tree and ornament. If you don’t have circle punches, you should add them ALL to your shopping list: 2-1/4" Circle Punch, Stampin' Up! 143720
  • Accenting the Holiday Catalog. My tags were added to the cover of each Holiday Catalog I mailed out last week. Here’s a look at the beautiful catalog cover:Stampin' Up!'s 2019 Holiday Catalog Cover, Stampin' Up!, Brian KingIn a past post, I broke down all of the projects on the front of this book for a closer look. If you missed it, you can see that post here.  When I clipped the tag to the top of the catalog (using retired clips I love), it unintentionally gave the illusion that the bright red ribbon was popping out from behind the tag. • Color Combination. I love non-traditional colors at Christmas. Despite the fact that the top-half of the cover features Real Red and Garden Green, I brightened things up a bit with a mix of Granny Apple Green and Poppy Parade on a Whisper White backdrop. Such fun! If you like this combination of Whisper White, Granny Apple Green and Poppy Parade, please save this:Stampin' Up! Color Inspiration - Whisper White, Granny Apple Green, Poppy Parade

World Card Making Day/Brian’s Fall Stamp-Along

If you are a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator who is attending OnStage in Atlanta, Georgia, I’d love to invite you to join me for a fun day of fun stamping inspiration, games, swaps and giveaways.

I haven’t yet opened registration for this year’s event (to be held on November 15 at the Atlanta Marriott Gateway), but that doesn’t mean you don’t want to get on the list to find out more when I know more. Stampin’ Up! moved this year’s event to a different location with few options for hosting my event. As such, I am only able to accommodate a smaller crowd that before. I am still working through several ideas for how I can include more people without taking away from the experience for those there.

Placing an order today? Of course you are! If you are placing an order for $150 or more, I want you to enjoy all of the Host Rewards you have earned.  If your order is less than $150, I’d love for you please add this Host Code – XCXRY327 when prompted. Thank you!
