More Color Combinations with Weekend Adventures Designer Series Paper

I love collecting and creating with Stampin’ Up!’s Designer Series Papers. The gorgeous patterns, the thoughtful color combinations, the seamless coordination with other products – it all just works. And the best part? Every collection brings something new to fall in love with!

When I first saw the Weekend Adventures Designer Series Paper in Stampin’ Up!’s 2025 Annual Catalog, I was instantly smitten (what’s NOT to love about the warm, Fall colors and designs?!). The rustic, outdoorsy colors and patterns are both fun and beautiful. While many pages celebrate camping and nature, this paper pack goes beyond that theme – it includes versatile patterns that work beautifully across a wide variety of projects.

Here’s a look at the patterns and coordinating colors in the Weekend Adventures Designer Series Paper (click the image below to flip through all of the pages in my online store):

This amazing collection of designs features 12 sheets (4 each of 3 double-sided designs), which makes this paper perfect for making multiple cards or scrapbook pages. The pack of papers includes Basic Black, Cajun Craze, Calypso Coral, Early Espresso, Misty Moonlight, Mossy Meadow, Old Olive, Pecan Pie and Very Vanilla.

Inspiration

You might not have guessed that I would be in love with an outdoorsy, rustic pack of papers, but I have really enjoyed working with the pages in the Weekend Adventures Designer Series Paper. Here are some of my projects with the pages from the papers I’ve shared on my blog (you can click on each photo to read the original post about each project:

Had you noticed my not-so-secret affinity for this incredible pack of papers?!

Today I’m going to share some suggestions for pulling together great color combinations with the pages of the Weekend Adventures Designer Series Paper.

Straight from the Papers

One of my go-to strategies when starting a new card or project is pulling my colors directly from the Designer Series Papers – and Stampin’ Up! makes it so easy!

These colors are combined from the colors exclusively in the Weekend Adventures Designer Series Paper – such a great variety of colors in this pack of papers:

Stampin' Up! Color Inspiration - Very Vanilla, Calypso Coral, Cajun Craze Stampin' Up! Color Inspiration - Old Olive, Misty Moonlight, Basic Black Stampin' Up! Color Inspiration - Pecan Pie, Early Espresso, Mossy Meadow

Combined with Other Colors

By adding one other color to the shades in these papers, you can really transform the feel of the pages or create all new combinations with inspiration from the paper. Here are some color combinations that feature two colors from this pack of papers and one color from outside the pack:

Stampin' Up! Color Inspiration - Cloud Cover, Misty Moonlight, Pecan Pie Stampin' Up! Color Inspiration - Petal Pink, Calypso Coral, Basic Black Stampin' Up! Color Inspiration - Peach Pie, Cajun Craze, Early Espresso

By limiting the colors you’ll use in a project (or expanding the colors to those outside a pack of papers), you can really find some beautiful color combinations for our projects.

I hope you find this helpful, and I hope some of these combinations inspire you.  Please save any (or all of these) to Pinterest for future reference.
