Mom has been visiting for a little over a week now, and the Fungeon has been absolutely buzzing with creativity! It’s been so much fun watching her dive into project after project. Here’s a quick rundown of what she’s been up to:
- She kicked off her visit by assembling all of the cards Emma and I designed for our latest Super-Awesome Fun Time Card Kit featuring the Sunset Coast Bundle and Scenic Coast 6″ x 6″ Specialty Designer Series Paper.
- After finishing the kit, she took inspiration from several of the techniques and designed a few cards of her own. I can’t tell you how much I love seeing that happen!
- She created a beautiful card for our Summer One-for-One Card Swap, which wrapped up last weekend. All of the swap cards have now been mailed, and I can’t wait for everyone to enjoy them.
- We’ve spent time playing with the new Stampin’ Hot Foil System together, and she has completely fallen in love with it.
- She sat in our my InKing Royalty Team call on Tuesday with a front-row seat to Peggy’s presentation.
- She’s currently assembling cards from a few Kits Collection kits I picked up for her.
- Next on the agenda? Playing with the A Stitched Season Suite!
I have to admit…I’m getting just a little jealous of all of her crafting time. 😊
Today I want to share one of the gorgeous cards Mom created using the Sunset Coast Bundle along with the coordinating Scenic Coast papers and embellishments.
The incredible lighthouse die-cut is the star of the show. Framed inside a simple Basic White square, it becomes an instant focal point. Sometimes the best way to showcase a beautiful image is simply to let it shine.
Here’s a look at the Sunset Coast Bundle:
There are so many fun ways to fill the opening behind the lighthouse, but the Scenic Coast 6″ x 6″ Specialty Designer Series Paper is one of my favorites. The patterns are stunning, and the specialty finish adds just the right amount of magic.
Here’s a look at the colors and patterns in this gorgeous paper pack:
Just look at that iridescent shimmer dancing across the water!
Mom tucked a Crushed Curry moon behind the lighthouse and decorated the scene with three seashells and two seagulls cut with the coordinating dies. Before die-cutting the seashells and birds, she softly blended Crumb Cake ink onto Basic White cardstock with a Blending Brush, adding wonderful warmth and dimension.
At Emma’s suggestion, Mom brushed the seashells with Wink of Stella, giving them just the right amount of sparkle.
Here’s a closer look:
To finish everything off, she sprinkled a few Sunset Sparkle Sequins into the seashell cluster. (Try saying “sprinkle some Sunset Sparkle Sequins in seashells” five times fast!) It’s the perfect finishing touch!
A Little Wait…
If you’ve fallen in love with these products, you’re certainly not alone! All three featured products on Mom’s card—the Sunset Coast Bundle, Scenic Coast 6″ x 6″ Specialty Designer Series Paper, and Sunset Sparkle Sequins—are currently on backorder.
The good news:
- The bundle and sequins are expected back in stock next week.
- The Scenic Coast paper is expected back in about three weeks.
Here’s my advice:
- These products are absolutely worth the wait—they’re simply wonderful to create with.
- Don’t wait until everything is back in stock before placing an order. If you hold off for the paper, the bundle or sequins could sell out again.
- Visit each product in the online store and sign up for the back-in-stock email notification. That way you’ll be among the first to know when they’re available again. ♥
While you’re waiting, you don’t have to miss out on the projects! The Super-Awesome Fun Time Card Kit Tutorial is available as an instant download, so you can start gathering inspiration right away.

Last Thoughts
I love spending time with Mom when she visits, but I’ve really loved watching her creativity flourish on this trip. I love seeing her take an idea, make it her own and create something beautiful. Sharing this hobby with people I love has always been one of the greatest blessings of stamping, and this visit has been another wonderful reminder of that.
