Early last night, I came across an inventory update on Stampin’ Up!’s demonstrator site letting us know that four laser-cut embellishment packs are running low and are not expected to be restocked once they sell out. The affected products are:
- Covered in Flowers Accents (#167197)
- Everyday Border Accents (#168217)
- Floral Flight Accents (#167558)
- Gilded Wings Accents (#169953)
As soon as I saw the list, I stopped working on the sweet Christmas card I had on my desk and switched gears. I’d had a Halloween idea bouncing around in my head using the Floral Flight Accents, and I figured I’d better make it before they disappeared.
Here’s the card I created to share with you today:
Well…here’s the funny part.
By the time I finished making the card, the Floral Flight Accents had already sold out.
If you happen to have a pack tucked away in your craft room, you can recreate this elegant Halloween design. If not, don’t let that stop you! There are plenty of ways to substitute die-cut flowers, stamped images, or even a favorite floral die. I know you’re creative enough to make the idea your own.

I used one of the butterflies on a card I shared last week, and today I featured the large floral bouquet from the center of the sheet.
Here’s a closer look at today’s card:
I trimmed the bouquet just a bit so it would fit my layout, but most of the magic comes from everything happening behind those black flowers.
The bouquet sits atop layers of Smoky Slate, Basic Black, Gray Granite, Basic Black, and Basic Gray. The combination of soft and deep grays creates a dramatic backdrop that’s perfect for Halloween—but honestly, it would be just as beautiful on an elegant wedding card.
If you’re drawn to this color combination, I hope you’ll tuck it away for future inspiration.
The Smoky Slate panel is embossed with the Swirls of Magic Embossing Folder, adding just enough texture to keep the background interesting without competing with the intricate floral design.
For the greeting, I added a simple “BOO” banner cut with the Web of Fun Dies.
To finish the card, I scattered a few Rhinestone Basic Jewels around the design. They add just the right amount of sparkle and elegance without taking away from the dramatic black florals.
Last Thoughts
Sometimes creativity doesn’t wait for the “perfect” moment—and sometimes products don’t, either! While it’s a little disappointing that the Floral Flight Accents disappeared so quickly, I’m glad I followed the inspiration while I still could. Even if you don’t have these exact embellishments, I hope this card inspires you to pair elegant florals with unexpected Halloween colors. Some of my favorite projects start with a “what if?” moment.

I like the Goth vibe on this card. I don’t make many Halloween cards, but this one turns my head. Gotta have that embossing folder too, it’s so versatile.
