A Retro Video & A Halloween Parade of 20 Projects Just for You!

Boo! It’s Halloween in the United States! I know this holiday isn’t celebrated all over the world, but today is Halloween all day long here. I’ve never been a fan of the macabre side of the day – I don’t like to scare people, and I definitely don’t like to be scared. I do, though, enjoy the creative, cute and light side of the day. I’ve always enjoyed this day as a day for children to have fun and celebrate their creativity.

Every Halloween I stand outside my door with a huge bucket of candy, a big smile on my face for the crowds of children who will surely come down the street. Here’s a video I created on Facebook a couple of years ago to show my joy of handing out candy to all the adorable trick-or-treaters:

Brian Loves Trick-or-Treaters
This video still makes me laugh – I’m such a goober! Here’s the real treat of this video – there were no trick-or-treaters at my house. For several reasons (I live at the end of a hilly road in an old neighborhood), the children never show up in their costumes. Eight years in a row of NOTHING – and I don’t expect to see anyone this year, either.

Today I’m sharing a couple of fun Halloween projects from this year – and a couple from years past. I’m also sharing a fun reminder of tomorrow’s November release.

A Spooky Halloween Parade

No holiday is complete without a parade.  Here’s my parade of TWENTY Halloween cards from this year and years past – you can click on each of the images to see the original post about each one.  Enjoy!

    Happy Halloween, Brian!
Loved your YouTube video ??? I used to love to hand out Halloween ? treats, or to go out with them.
We did the same with our oldest grandson who lived nearby. Fast forward to retirement in Florida and for the 10 years we’ve been here, no trick-or-treaters at all.
Thank you for sharing your parade of Halloween cards,
    Brian!
    Happy ??? Halloween ?

  2. I wish I lived a little closer so I could show up to trick or treat! Great parade of spooky and fun cards!

  3. Same here Brian. We live at the very end of a 1/2 mile lane . We are the only one that lives back here. We’ve had 1 trick o’ treater in 52 years. Look at all the money we have saved.

  4. Man, your card parade was just what I needed to see today! BIG SMILE here! Thanks for the creativity injection. Have a boo-tiful Halloween? with or without trick-or-treaters.

  5. Your Halloween card parade is awesome!

  6. Your video cracked me up!

  7. Happy Halloween- your cards have been inspirations for many of mine. I make a lot of Halloween cards. More than any other cards as a matter of fact- my daughter loves Halloween so she gets anywhere from 10-31 cards during the month of October (her birthday month)

  8. I love it all , BEAUITFUL cards ♥️♥️♥️♥️
    Happy happy Halloween ?????

    Hugs Frenchie ?

  9. But you are an adorable goober! Great parade of cards! 🙂

  10. I’m always a sucker for a parade. Nice! Your video made me laugh. We are in the same situation here – no trick or treaters. When we lived in Massachusetts, one year I dressed up as Santa. Had a lot of surprised kids at our door. Wish I had a video of that!

  11. I don’t know what a “goober” is but I think you are plain old precious!
You know I love a parade of cards and after looking at this one six times I still can’t pick a favorite! I love them all. Thanks for the smiles Brian and all the inspiration.

  12. Your parade of cards is FABULOUS.
And I’m just saying……. GOOBER and GLEEFUL Halloween awards go out to you for making all of us SMILE BIG.
    Happy Halloween my friend.

  13. Wow, your cards are great! We never get trick-or-treaters either.

  14. I love this great mix of your past Halloween cards. Who doesn’t love a parade, even on Halloween!! We usually have quite a crowd of kids, but we’re not participating this year…no way to social distance if kids are out.
    Enjoy your day.

  15. A very Happy Halloween post! And who doesn’t love a good parade of cards? Thanks for the constant inspiration!

  16. Loved your Halloween treat passing out montage! You are so full of life and joy! You are playful, which I find irresistible in others! Really enjoy your blog, Brian. Thank you for sharing your love of stamping with the world and with me!

  17. Amazing and beautiful cards Brian, love the idea of handing out sweets/candy, without scaring the kids. Occasionally we will have kids knock and then they get something. Our Halloween, (not that’s it’s a big thing here,) has been cancelled due to us being in complete lockdown! Even our bigger celebration of Guy Fawkes with fireworks and bonfires has been cancelled BOO!
    Keep safe.

  18. Brian, you are SO COOL! You always make me laugh, but this is the first time I’ve seen this video. I can’t stop laughing! You crack me UP! Well done! Your parade of cards is fantastic as well. BIG hugs to you friend!
