We love to make and send cards to celebrate so many wonderful occasions and to share joy with those we love. We make and send cards to celebrate birthdays, holidays and big life changes (graduations, babies, weddings, new jobs and retirements). Today is a very special day for me that’s filled with many mixed emotions – by the end of the day, I will be retired from my career job. Over the last 24 years with Cox Enterprises, I have grown so much, learned so much and thoroughly enjoyed many incredible friendships (many will continue after I leave). I will miss my incredible team members (they’ve been a part of my daily life for many, many years), but I know they are set up to succeed without me. I know I will experience some “bumps in the road” as I transition away from my career job, but I also have plenty of plans to keep me busy and happy in retirement. More stamping is in my future…
To celebrate today with you, I’ve pulled a variety of cards that were either designed to celebrate retirements or that would be perfect for such a celebration. You can click on any of these photos to read more about each of the cards, including the products used to make them (many of these products are no longer available for purchase, but I hope the designs inspire you). Welcome to the parade:

I hope you are inspired by this parade of happy retirement cards. I loved making these, and I’ve loved sharing them (again) with you.
I’ve been telling you about my plans to retire since November of last year. I can’t believe it’s already here, but I am ready for this new adventure.
Thanks for stopping by today!
Brian

Thanks so much, Pam! I plan to BOTH enjoy and relax. ♥
So much happiness in these cards and your next phase of life! I can’t help but smile seeing that little camper (first card).
Thanks, Mary! That was one of my all-time favorites. That camper might not be MY happy place (I could probably stretch from one end to the other), but it seems pretty relaxing to me right now.
WOW, Brian, that past month went so fast. Remember, you weren’t even counting down yet, and POOF . . . TODAY IS THE DAY!
Much congratulations and joy.
Have a blessed day.
Thank you so much, my friend! It has been MONTHS coming, but this last month was, by far, the fastest. ♥
Let the new adventure begin! Happy retirement!
Thank you so much, Jacqueline! ♥
Congratulations on your retirement!
Thank you, Amy! It’s been a pretty emotional day, but I’m very happy.

Thank you so much Elisha! My pencil has been sharpened for months, and the book is filled with my to-do items. 🙂
Wow, Brian! Congratulations on your retirement!
Thank you so much, Wendie! I appreciate you.
The day has arrived! Enjoy! Big congratulations!!
Thank you so much, Barbara! It’s been a long time coming and yet arrived so fast. ♥
Congratulations, Brian! Enjoy your last day at work! And how wonderful it is that you have a hobby/business that you’re passionate about waiting in the wings. This is your time now, you’ve earned it!
Thank you so much, my friend! I’m really excited about what’s to come. ♥
Some amazing cards for an amazing day! Happy Retirement, BK!
Thank you so much, my friend! ♥
An especially poignant post. Each card is wonderful in its own way, but your first and last card choices made me cry for your big day. May your day be filled with all the love and light you put out in to the world every day
Thank you so much, Cindie! I book-ended my post with those cards for a reason – I’m glad you see it. Today was a big mix of ups and downs (that ends on a big up). Thank you for being so kind.
Congratulations on your retirement! Many happy years ahead!
Thank you so much, Jeffie! ♥
Yay!! I’m SO happy for you. Trust me, the worry of “what will I do now that I’m retired” syndrome will cease to exist pretty quickly. When I retired for the 2nd time in August 2022, I was so busy I didn’t know how I had time to work 40 plus hours a week! 🤣 You can now fill your days with things you love to do and maybe even find time to learn and discover new things. After 24 years with the same company, you deserve this. Embrace it and have fun! Congratulations my friend. Enjoy!❤️🙏😘
What’s so crazy is – I truly loved my career job. I will miss it a lot. I still think I can find a better way to spend my 40+ hours every week. Thank you so much, Bobbi! I always love to hear from you.
What a great day for you!! I’m so happy for you! Just think what it will be like to have a decent night’s sleep…night after night! As many have said, it won’t take long to get a new routine and fill your days with more fun than you ever imagined. I wish you the very best of whatever you do in the years ahead. I can’t wait to see the roads you will travel. I’m excited to see more of your wonderful cards and kits. Hugs, my friend!
Thank you so much, Hilda! It’s definitely going to be a new adventure for me – I’m excited to see how things unfold for me. Big hugs right back to you! ♥
You deserve all possible joy in this next phase of your life.
I’m sure you’ll be sorely missed by your work team, but knowing you, there was a significant amount of succession planning before you even considered retiring, so they’ll graciously adjust. (Except FOR SURE they’ll personally miss you)
My congratulations with a wish that you have decades of doing whatever makes you happiest! Yay, you!!
You’re right, Linda! They had a new person in place within the month, and I’ve been able to train him on everything over the last four months. I will really, really miss my team – I was here when each and every one of them was brought on board (and I hired nearly all of them). I have a lot of love for these people and will miss them a lot, but I’m comforted to know they are in good hands.
Brian, Congratulations on your retirement. I’m so happy for you. From my own experience retirement takes some transition time to get your head wrapped around the change but it is worth it. Enjoy you new adventure & more stamping time.
Thank you so much, Maureen. I’ve been adjusting/planning for several months, but I know it’s going to be difficult. I’m OK with that challenge and plan to really use my free time wisely.
Congratulations to you! Now you’ll have time to really enjoy your crafting future!!!!! So happy for you!
Thank you so much, Susan! You couldn’t be more right! 🙂
Happy Retirement, Brian! Enjoy this next chapter in your life. It is all good as we forge ahead into new beginnings. I retired after 47 years in the workforce in April 2019 and have had such new and interesting experiences. Best always to you!
Congrats Brian. It might take a hot minute to adjust to the change but my money is on you! Retirement is awesome. I am sure you have heard people say “I don’t know how I found time to work”!
Spring is a new season and your new beginnings have begun!
What a fabulous time to start a new phase in ur life!
Congrats again!
